"I DONT LIKE VANILLA ICE IN MY BJJ",

    what he actually means is

"I DONT LIKE VANILLA ICE IN MY BJ BECAUSE I LIKE VANILLA ICE IN MY ASS"

          • I was at the tournament. I recall strikeforce only having a couple of guys there and managing to take a first place in a division. Where your team with the bigger numbers, was also only able to get one member of your team to win their division. And i think he was a wrestler who had only been training at your school for only a couple of weeks, so really your academy did poorly.

And no, tapping someone in class is really not that important but I can tell by your lack of knowledge in general will translate to the mat. With you being the bitch in class. Am I correct?

              • So what happened to the war cries of that belly dancer? And why isnt he promoting his schools upcoming tournament in oct? Is he scared that the more competition his school has, the more likelyhood they will lose?

Like I said, do you guys actually do BJJ or just troll around NZ and the net?

                      My team had bigger number.
                      So what?
Geoff team from Wellington with only 6 reps did AWESOME during the 4th NZ open BJJ.
The Thread issue is about promoting the sport in NZ and having tournaments in NZ.
Strike Force did participate but they are not a BJJ team and they will never be one.
They only had a couple of guys.
About the wrestler issue: we do attract grapplers that want to train in BJJ.
Good wrestlers have awesome skills and quickly can be train into tapping maching. The guy is GOOD.
I cross train with his wrestling club and they do not charge any $.
Since money seems to an issue for most of you.
PM me if you are interested and you are in Auckland.

                      • We train. In fact it may interest you to know that there's another school out there now run by people with much less experience than Geoff. We were at the tournament in April and won 2 of the three weight divisions we entered. In one of the divisions we took both Gold and Silver. In fact I'm pretty sure if you are who I think you are, you fought one of our guys - how did you get on?

Did you take part in the tournament?
Otherwise, your advise about tapping is pretty useless!
Once again, we have too many internet warriors rather than participants to develop Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in New Zealand.

                          • mate understand you're responding to posts that are 9 months old. Also understand these people train, the reason they are hassing you so hard is because you worked so hard to put everyone's backs up and offend them. You claim to be only interesting in promoting the sport but are showing a lack of respect to individuals who were doing BJJ in NZ before you'd heard of it.

                              I am wrong.
I heard the name twin city and thought they were from Napier.
I expected to hear the Machado/John Will name or see Geoff in the corner but I must say I was busy doing other things.
Good on your boys, the fights were good!
I will like to see more MMA events in NZ.
                              Are you organising any events?
                              Are looking for figthers?

I got your point and apologise for stepping on your toes by keep saying we are the only open BJJ tournament in NZ.
So maybe you did participate in other BJJ tournament in the past.
What do you have at the moment running in NZ for BJJ player?
I am supposed to kept my mouth shut (because I am a white belt) when my team spend NZD 700 for rental for the venue at the Auckland University for the competition.
                                Dude, I got to promote.
You guys give so much trouble about it.
So you had BJJ before I posted.
My training partner saw the Tauranga poster about being the first vale tudo event in NZ. LOL, he was part of the first cage fight back then in Auckland (6 years ago?). He went on for 6 VT fights before Tauranga. I did not hear bitching about it.
Do you have NZ competition format for BJJ otherwise than mine?
