Ahh. where do I come up with all these classic one-liners.

Anyway I had better get going because it is getting dark outside. Any later and I may run into someone like Uke who will transition me to death.

    • Boarspear,

Actually, here in the rest of the world we have things called time zones .

Every time I make a comment about Uke you seem to have something to say. From your posts that I have read it is obvious that we do not agree on training methods and yet I accept that your methods work best for achieving the goals you wish to achieve (knife attacks, etc). You also seem to know what you are talking about and do not think that someone with a knife or gun is invincible without training (a common misconception).

I am unsure why someone like you would align yourself with an arrogant prick like Uke. If it is because the two of you like similar training methods then you are doing yourself a disservice by aligning yourself with him all of the time (especially when he is being a dick).

If you're not training for a real altercation, you're basically a competitor who trains to "feel" tougher. Ah yes, a variation on the 'Nobody has ever been in a fight but me' theme is the 'Nobody has ever been in a bad neighborhood but me' song and dance.

                  • The saddest thing of all here is that I haven't ever suggested that anyone stop training in BJJ, but yet I'm called arrogant even though I suggest learning parts of BJJ for ground defense.

But if I were just arrogant and not writing the truth, one of you, not all but just one of you, would be able to write something more comprehensive than just insults and and calling me arrogant. As arrogant as some of you may percieve me to be, its still a discussion. And if what you've written is any indication of what kind of martial artists you are, most of you are seriously lacking.

If many of you here really feel that I'm wrong about my ideas and conclusions, I know many schools that I can recommend that you visit and try out your so-called theories of combat. Obviously a healthy debate is not a cup of tea that some of you would like to drink from, so go put your MMA skills to the real test! Most of you won't because you cannot afford to have your eyes opened or your faith, and I stress faith, shaken.

I'm putting this out here now for those of you who say that there is no way to test your skills without going into the street looking for a fight, which none of you high moraled men of the martial arts would do. There is a way. There are schools that would welcome people like you to come in and "enlighten" them as to what they're doing wrong. And they would gladly enlighten you over and over again once you've tried. All without having to put your life on the line, just your faith.

But if you get discouraged, which is just a politically correct way of me saying getting your @ss tore up, in a school where the fighters aren't even trying to kill you, how do you think you'd fare on the street?

I know most of you won't test anything as you're internet warriors, but for those of you who might and have acted tough here ... remain true to your character. Go into a school and behave as you have here. Tell them that you feel that you study a style that is superior and you're ready to show them. This way, their attitude will be closest to the one you'd find in a street opponent. Then, work your stuff! Show them how MMA or BJJ has made you a bad man without you ever having to fight for real in your entire life.

And if you don't do this today, you will do it eventually. At some point in his life, a real martial artist wants to know for himself if what he's dedicated his blood, sweat and tears to works. And not just under fixed conditions. He wants to know that he's a survivor and not just someone who exists because he hasn't run into a jam so far. So all the geniuses here who said you can't test your skill without foolishly risking your life are wrong. You can test them by going to a school that will be willing to hurt you and are skilled enough to do it.

The funniest thing of all is Cam trying to cop a plea with BoarSpear. How can you be unsure of why he so-called aligns himself with what I have been saying when he's plainly written that he agrees with most of it as its mostly common sense? BoarSpear has pretty much been saying the same thing that I have before this topic was ever created, but in Cam's eyes he knows something and I don't. Cam sounds like a jilted woman. You and people like you have waged the same bashing campaign against him and anyone else who doesn't agree with your pathetic attempts to promote BJJ and MMA as the greatest thing since the samurai. Most of you sound like the idiots that believed Jean Claude Van Damme was the real thing because he looked dangerous in the movies. But Van Damme got beat down by who? A student of the Vee arts. Some people will believe anything they see, because if its on TV, in their minds it must be true. And the only reason MMA and NHB events even enjoy the measure of success that they do is because of televison. Without TV, the UFC and other NHB events would just be another toughman contest, just with BJJ.

There were other topics like this one where people were saying almost the same things. I just happened to offer an exercise to prove my point, but most of you BJJ sheep wouldn't try it so that you could keep your self-annointed pristine image of thinking that you know what you're talking about. There are people here who have tried the exercise, and the honest ones acknowledged what I had to say only because they found through experience what I wrote to be true. The posts are still here if you conveniently forgot about them.

I post here for the people who aren't interested in hearing the gospel of "Why toughman contest fighting is the best if you mix it with BJJ and call it MMA".

I don't have to post with anger. My points are made and valid. I'm not the one who lives in Canada and because I've won a hundred hockey brawls I feel that ice skating is the most effective of all martial arts. In truth, most of you seem very catty and feminine, which would explain why you're so eager to lay down on your backs and put another man in your guard.

Hey, whatever floats your boat, but I noticed that inquiring minds didn't wanna know what school to go visit to go get their chins checked. I guess you're still grappling with the fact that your insults aren't as effective as debating tools as your instructor might have led you to believe.

The beating that Van Damme received that I was talking about came from Chuck Zito, president of the New York Hell's Angels at the stripclub Scores. If you've watched Oz, you've seen him as Chucky Pancamo.
