I would like to see Kimbo fight Mark Hunt. Two solid hitters with limited grappling ability....who will KO who first??
    Hunt would annihilate Kimbo!

I wonder how teachable Kimbo is.

Being older and having lots of injuries is one thing. Not listening to any coaching advice when you're starting an essentially new sport is quite another...

well i know kimbo. aka kevin ferguson and first yes mark hunt has my vote for the win. but it is due to experience and being more adept at taking shots than kimbo. his work ethic is not as bad as you all may think. he dropped i think 25lbs during his training with the other organisation. as far as listening to a trainer. hang it up he is too hard headed and definately thinks boxing is his strong suit. wrong. he would do better learning the ground and then boxing from there, like with mercer.i think he is around 36 now so not too old to fight but definately past his prime or is he? we have to remember couture didnt start till his forties. so we will see. imho he will do very well in the ufc but only if the mold him and let him get experience first. if not he wont last. first gotta get past tuf though so well see what happens.

I don't like the guy's image. Unfortunately, it sells. If he were to change his image, would he still sell PPV tickets? That's above me.

Everyone knows he's a hard hitter - again, taking out a big guy like Tank requires stopping power. He's needing work with grapplers and continue to cut a little weight, while upping his cardio/stamina so he can keep his fight going.

As far as teachability is concerned, he's gone from zero ground game (looking at his street-match youtube days, getting gassed by an amateur-level guillotine) to being able to bypass a professional boxer's strength and tap him out on the ground - learning has occured.

ROFLMAO It was evident from the get go that's where it was headed.

Either of these clowns would fit right in as the headliner for Wrestlemania, pitting them against each other is probably Vince McMahon's dream.
hmmm. MMA has done some good for the martial arts world. Its a new sport that is staring to promote some unsportsman like behavior, unfortunately - but it has also affected the way MA-ists train, the need for spontaenous, life-like training.

Guys in UFC 1 whom did point sparring and forms got beaten by semi-pro kickboxers. Professional boxers got taken down and sub'd by grapplers. The results of these matches has also spurred the need for training in all ranges.

There are MMA schools that promote excellent sportsmanship and professionality. Gotta admit, MMA is entertaining to watch!!

If the go toe to toe, its a puncher's chance. Hunt has a stronger chin than Kimbo, but Kimbo has as much stopping power.

Again, if Kimbo were to work on his grappling he could take Hunt. Don't know if Kevin Randleman is in the business of training, but their personalities might mesh better or maybe the Milletich camp?

or with jubaji. Go gettum Jubs!

kimbo really wants to do good in mma only he wants it to be his way. i think that dana is making this change for him. he was pretty much told you do it this way or you are a short memory bottom line.

Psychological disorders? The man has obviously spent years "enhancing" his physique and performance with synthetic substances... Can we say Bi Polar tendencies?

                    He's a frickin' psycho. LOL

MMA is way past "starting to promote unsportsmanlike behavior." We saw that in the beginning when the Gracies stomped people after they tapped and refused to release holds...Tank Abbott telling the camera he was getting a boner from raking the guys face across the fence, Tito Ortiz's flipping people off, the list is already legendary without listing the crime sprees. It won't be long before MMA's reputation will make the National Felon League look reputable.

And lets not forget, NOTHING in MMA is new except the packaging, they might have made grappling more mainstream but it's been around among some schools all along, without all the BS MMA brought with it.

Jujutsu in Japan had a similar reputation over a century ago. Thugs and brawlers are entertaining to a point and then the spectacle is just a national shame...

IF Kimbo got good at grappling it might be conceivable, but that's a big if. On their feet Hunt is an excellent kick boxer and I'd expect him to make Kimbo look like a fool.

I've gotta wonder how long before we see caskets getting carried into the arena prefight.

No doubt they'll be custom caskets by Ed Farty, with stupid little no fear tags and eyeballs.

Sponsors will be able to buy advertising on the sides of the coffins once all the space on the entertainers clothes, heads and bodies are filled with adds for cheap beer and crappy clothing.

Well... Seems like I've read something about that in the old school Vale Tudo matches out of Brazil...

                              Circa 1950 something? LOL

Yep seems like the Gracies were responsible for that trash too...Didn't they carry in a coffin in a big procession prior to Helio getting slaughtered by Kimura?
