Tried to prove my "kokoro" in a BJJ match, and ended up getting the ligaments in my left elbow torn apart from refusing to tap.... a back that is a constant discomfort a lot of times, messed up my knee (though not too bad), black eyes, bloody noses, etc etc

when i was in high school (about 8 or 9 years ago) i hurt my wrist hitting the heavy bag. someone told me to soak an ace bandage in some kinda ointment and wrap it "snugly" before i went to bed. so not knowing any better, i did. i woke up the next morning with the fattest f*ckin' hand i ever saw. my wrist felt a little better, but my right hand was twice the size of my left. it slowly returned to normal by the next morning, but man, did i wanna just punch somebody out with my new big ass fist! i felt like popeye or something.

Well none of these are Martial Arts related but I have had some injuries.

1.Left arm Broken jumping off my couch-6 years old I think?

2.Countless Broken toes running through the house.

            3.Broken thumb-2 years ago I think.

4.Broken hand (left) but it may have been fractured-4 years ago(I was at a batting cage and the ball hit my hand)

5.Broken arm last year.-Doing stupid crap on my bike.

Man you guys are really messed up! I must not be training hard enough.

Oh and Sweep Em........Luxation of the cranium means dislocation of the head. LOL!

Anyway, I feel lucky that I have not had more serious injuries. just soreness and strains and sprains. The only thing about me that gets obliterated on a regular basis in class is my pride. When I get tapped like a drunk schoolgirl. Sometimes I think it would be less demeaning if the guys would just hold me down and beat me with a dead, rotting squirrel!

I'm on the mend, ate a knee last thursday, finally don't have any blood when I blow my nose.

And my shoulder is healing now.

anyone else got new injuries or have some improvements?

                    injury

my worst injury in BJJ was when i was going for a sweep nd i just put my hand down to post for balance and my thumb went way outta place and dislocated - it took a bunch of moraphene (sp) and a doc to put it back in place - the x-rays look real cool and i have them hanging in my room - i had much worse injuries skateboarding

I had my cheekbone and eysocket shattered by a knee. The reconstructive surgery cost ten thousand dollars, but my face is fine now.
In a tournament I had my right leg broken in my first match, which I won. My next oponent forfeited. I then fought in the finals and, unfortunately lost.

Started with right outside elbow stretched out for not tapping.

Followed by right outside knee. Opponent did the damn alligator death roll while I had um on a leglock.

Went to Vegas and rolled with this big dude. Had um on an armbar from guard when he decided to place all his fat ass weight on me. There goes my outside left knee.

Wouldn't elaborate on this, but my second left toe was pointing up after rolling with this dude.

Most recent was my left elbow. I think the ligaments are hyperextended.

And the call this the "Art of Gentleness"?

Dan, about your experience in the Islands, I guess it's like that where ever you go. There are always going to be punks whether you're in Haleiwa or Columbus...

                          Te'eaupo'o got nuttin' on this...

Can't keep up with all of you -
only tendonitus in wrists and shoulder (bad enough for ice everyday)
                            broken toes
rib head keeps popping in my back
                            soar neck
