What a load of crap. I have experienced all of those things and they are in no way a substitute for any kind of real skill. They are much more likely to get you in far deeper shit than you were before if you were at a disadvantage to begin with.

I never said it was a substitute for skill, nor would I ever think that! BUT, skill is not always the answer to winning a real fight. Heart, determination, and a sheer will to survive is. Sometimes you have to fight dirty to survive a street fight. Of course you should not rely on biting or pinching or eye gouging to get your through, you should train all aspects of the combative arts.....but Jubaji...if you think a finger in the eye or a well placed pinch or bite is a load of crap....then you sir don't know your ass from your head, nor have you really experienced these things.

That is what people with no skill say. They are pretty much the only ones who say that. Know why?

          Let's see...

I know my ass is the larger, smellier one.

And I know that relying on 'tricks' where you have no skill, or strength, or speed, etc will only get you your ass kicked far, far worse. (remember, that's the smellier one)

Damn it! I am trying to get heated with you and you make me lol! Quit it!

We are not going to agree at all. Fact is I do have skill, I have been in my share of street fights, one on one and multiple, and I have had my share of ring fights which I am still currently active again. I only speak from experience, which I have plenty off.

Oh wait...I forgot, you know it all...my bad, disregard everything I just said.

Why didn't you just say that in the first place and save us all this trouble?

                  Jubaji,
by even calling a pinch or such a move a "trick" you show your ignorance. It's a valid tactic and seriously you have to experience it to know how effective it is. It will leave you screaming like a girl no matter how big or muscular you are. Just like any other technique a valid pinch goes after a large cluster of nerves or particularly susceptible portions of anatomy. It's meant to make your opponent loosen their grip or lose focus for a second or so to allow you to make your move either away or to attack.

Dont' be so simple as to think that just because someone knows bjj they are instantly undefeatable on the ground or that basic moves are suddenly obsolete because bjj doesn't give anyone titanium skin or change the makeup of their bodies. The only difference is that some people have a better pain threshold than others, but those people are rare and I doubt you, or the odds of a particular opponent, are able to take a localized surge of pain.

if u see them in the begining, all those guys are taller than mike, however he seems like he is more built. either way, it was still 4 to 1 and he still took them all on and scattered them like roaches using surprise, agressiveness and speed to his advantage.

those guys just didnt expect for mike to take them on since they outnumbered him and werent taking him seriously. u can see one dude laughing at mike when he is confronting them, and thats when he gets pissed and attacks them..

                      Yeah,
Vallely is definately not the person to laugh at. Sorry it was just the semantics of bigger and taller because mike's got a decent build and obviously can handle himself. Those other guys either weren't expecting it or just weren't much on fighting (supposedly mike used to streetfight all the time as a kid). They sure did try to clear it up and apologize quick after mike started swinging. A lot of good stuff to learn though from this video.

okay, I'll quit wasting my time. Like James Barrie said, I'm not young enough to think I know everything - so I figure jubaji is "twee and half yews ole."
