Goat do you ever get any pain in your wrists as i missed 6 mths of training since injury & am now back training hard, but after a heavy lesson on the thai pads with arms i can get an aching in my wrist joint the morning after which sometimes can take a few days to fade away.

I try to wear wraps at the moment as knuckles gone a little soft but put extra around wrist since trouble.

I've been lazy lately ! I got in an accident on halloween and I hit a wall going 115. I was holding onto the door handle when we hit so it ****ed up my right wrist.

When you learn alot of theories in martial arts its natural to make it more complicated because you think about all those theories when you strike. You gotta make it natural.

You gotta take it easy until your body LETS you go harder.

        Use some Dit Da Jow.

I have a recipe I made. I did all my homework to make sure no herbs bumped heads. It works real good. You heal twice as fast as normal. As far as I'm concerned that's better than neosporine because they say 4 days sooner and I know what's in it. It can even go in deep cuts.

Whats the point of wearing hand wraps whilst doing the iron cross press ups? Isn't that undermining the point of the exercise?

I think I might have injured my wrist. Fortunately, its not too painful, and I can only feel it when I do twisting motions eg. when I turn a door knob. The knobbly bit on my right wrist seems to have swelled up a little.

This could only mean two things:

              1. I'm not punching properly

              and or;

              2. My wrists are unconditioned and weak

I hope it's not too serious. Has anyone else had a similar injury?

Only people who insist on using one of the least efficient strikes of the lot. Punching.

                  Thai Bri?

Can you leave a name in your messages so my lazy ass brain doesn't have to work out who you refer to (being welsh slows things down).

                        Not you again!

Well if you haven't done them then you're going to have to put the wraps on for the minimal support they offer in this exercises.
Go do some and tell me why you use wraps.

Yeah, right. While you're at it, why not do road work on roller blades..........or in a car.

If the iron crosses are to build up your wrists.....and the wraps are to support your wrists......you don't have to be a genius to see that the wraps are undermining the iron crosses.

Unless people's wrists are too weak to try the exercise then i could understand the need for the wraps until enough strength is built up at which point the wraps would be removed.

Actually, the names Thai Bri, dick head.

I'm not convinced. If you're putting on the wraps you may as well not be doing the exercise. Its as simple as that.

I'm going to do one legged squats from now on. But I'll use two legs all the time, as I'm not strong enough to do only one.......
