Is this a surprise to anyone?!
I broke a guy's collarbone when I was in 8th grade. I wasn't studying martial arts at the time. He tried to rape my friend. He deserved it.

Thanks God someone else sees how silly this thread is.

Dear number18:
It's not really like that. I didn-t mean good for a girl. It was ok by anu standars, a really small girl (tall but skinny), knock me down, totally defeated. Her foot connected so well with my testicles, i was left on my knees, grabbing my crotch. She took the fight out of me, all I could think was the pain I was feeling. So I meant she fough well to be so young, so slender and without formal training. It really makes me wonder what a full grown woman with some self defense training can acomplish.
And to someone who posted that she overreacted, I don-t think so. I really deserve it, and afterall the problem with woman is how reluctant they are to fight back, so I'm happy that my sis (who I love) can defend her self with no hessitation. Thanks

your saying this as if she did something incredible. how did she fight well? she just kicked u in the nuts, anyone could’ve done that, a 6 year old, or a 70 year old. its nothing incredible

I have to disagree with this assertion. The most effective strikes are often the simplest to execute. I don't think that andresterrada was particularly impressed by his sister's amazing fighting ability, but he was amazed by the power that his skinny thirteen year old sister was able to put into the kick. The fact of the matter is that most untrained women (and quite a few men for that matter) are simply not athletic enough or vicious enough to be able to drop a guy by kicking him in the balls. Under the circumstances, what his sister was able to do to him is quite impressive; although, I might add, it was also quite uncalled for.

Unfortunately I think some womens self defense teachings are a bit too agressive, and insinuate that booting a guy in the nuts for any old reason is a fair justification. Then when some one tells a story about how they booted a guy in the nuts because he "may have said something" or "might have been about to do something" they get a grand kudos and a slap on the back. Sorry, no. Fighting should be justified and used as a last resort.

Better than average
Caden:
I totally see your point. But you have to consider the options. Most women are socialized not to react to violence at all. My sister (being a little inmarute at the time) perhaps overreacted a little. But most girl don't react at all, and that's much worse. Besides on my opinion, a low blow hurts a LOT, and it's quite incapacitating but very rarely causes permanent damage. I know that today my sister would not overreact at all, but If attacked she would defend herself to the fullest of her capacity. And a girl who dare to kick his Big time macho (I was the typical fool) brother in the balls at 13, will not grow to be a abuser (like some seem to believe) but more likely be a centered person with enough selfsteem to react to an aggresion. Finally I think that sometimes to prevent girls from getting too aggresive, we are keeping them defenseless as they always were due to the socialization they received.

Recently I did a low powered thai roundhouse kick on an 11 year old girl. She got angry and scratched my arms. I hurt alot. I'm just glad the internet is anonymous...
OK now before you call for the men in white suits I'll tell you the rest of the story.
I was at my grandmas and lots of my relatives were there aswell. The 7 year old and his sister were my cousins.
Me and the 7 year old were just play fighting but she was worried he might get hurt so she started trying to break it up. I actualy kicked her a few times (very low powered at first but gradualy increasing in power) but because she was angry it didn't work and I ended up having to hurt her (after which I felt too guilty to fight back when she scratched me).

tell us the truth lizzy, she took your beer when you were kicking your 'friends' (sorry showing off), called you out and you just couldn't take no lip from an 11 year old. so you slipped off your diaper and beat her ass. don't take that from even a 12 or 13 year old man, lay down the law baby and T.C.O.B.!!!

Point taken. I call for a happy medium. I think if necessary, stress if necessary women should react to a fight in the most effective and agressive way they know. Agression wins fights once started. However, early agression when a fight is not initiated and there are other options of evasion is not a smart maneuvour (how the hell do I spell manoeuvour? I have no idea...).

Females are (generally) physically inferior to men. I'm not a sexist or anything, but it's plain science.
But that ain't no reason to why girls can't fight back. If they properly train, they can become some ass kicking machines. It's just that they don't have the potential that men have, and that trained men fighters will always outdo trained women fighters (of equal attributes of course).
