  • even girls CAN fight back

I'm 30 now, but back when i was 14 I used to fight a lot with my little sister, she was 13 at that time, and we had a great relationship but we use to fight like brother and sis. She usually had my parents on her side, and liked to tease me all the time, and sometimes i used my greater strenght against her. Not that i hit her but, mostly wrestle her to have things my way. All that ended one afternoon. She was pretty slender (was a ballet dancer afterschool) and I was 50 heavier anda foot taller at least. One afternoon we where arguing about something and she took something mine (i can't recall what it was) just to make me angry. I started chasing and when I finally catch up with her, I pushed her and she let her self fall on her back and waited there. I wasn't expecting her to fight back and after all it was my little sis. So i step over her (one foot on each side of her) and lean down to take whatever she had. Then she kicked up between my legs, and the next I remember is being on the ground holding my crotch. I could not believe my little sister had knock me down with a groin kick, but she did. Then i found out she had a self-defense talk at her school, the day before. I only got physical with her a couple of times after that without good results, because her attituda had changed, she wasn't going to take it .
And if a slender girl like my sister can cause such an effect on a much bigger boy just by daring to, I'm convinced any woman with some training could have a chance to get away from a dangerous situation. Tghe problem is that many women don-t seem to think they can do better by fighting back. That's

Lessons learned the fun way. Oops, the hard way. Women can definitely fight back and protect themselves, it happens quite often.

Unfortunately, this example also shows why it is not without problems to teach young girls about self-defense. She kicked you in the balls without a good reason, just to see if what she had learned really worked. One of the first things that should have been told to her is that a kick in the balls is not for fun, but is only justified if she is actually in danger.

haha Lizard that is hilarious. Why the heck would you do that to such a young girl? How old are you? What was she doing to make you mad?

One time at school I was injured in my knees from a car and it was pretty bad but I was at school and this stupid 8th grader (I was in 11th grade) got mad at me because some kid threw a ball and it rolled over toward her. She started kicking my legs and I was like "NOOOO!!" I was freaked out she was going to break them more so I did a side kick in her stomache it was funny and she walked off. Later after school she attacked him and started kicking my legs again so I hit her on the head with a ton of hard heavy books and she walked off and was really hurt. I made fun of her afterwards. Hahaha! That was bad.

Now I can understand Lizard just messing around, but you gave an 8th grade girl a side kick in the stomach and she walked away? And then you had to use a weapon (ton of hard heavy books) to beat her down when she attacked you the second time.

I hope this 8th grader was the daughter of Mike Tyson.

Look I only hit her because she tried to interfere when I was fighting her 7 year old brother.

OK now before you call for the men in white suits I'll tell you the rest of the story.

I was at my grandmas and lots of my relatives were there aswell. The 7 year old and his sister were my cousins.

Me and the 7 year old were just play fighting but she was worried he might get hurt so she started trying to break it up. I actualy kicked her a few times (very low powered at first but gradualy increasing in power) but because she was angry it didn't work and I ended up having to hurt her (after which I felt too guilty to fight back when she scratched me).

The fight with the 7 year old lsted a long time. If he was my age he would kick my ass easily. He does karate but because he isn't allowed to use it outside the dojo (it's too deadly apparantly) he just grabs people and starts punching and kicking them wildly. I told him he should consider kyokushinkai because I know he would be good at it. He is so tough and his kicks are quite powerful. And if he gets angry he will attack you no matter how big you are. He doesn't need any training, his unstoppable rage is his best weapon.

ok Lizard, i forgie thee . As for Andrew's case. What the friggin hell are you thinking? You are picking on someone that is what, 4 years younger than you? Ok she kicked your legs, all you really need to do is tell her to go away or you'll seriously hurt her. Just repeat teh threat a couple times and they'll go away. Sheesh what aworld we live in.

You obviously didnt read my post. Its not like I am sooo proud about it. I actually felt bad about it later.

The thing is I JUST had gotten hit by a car about a week before, my knees needed recontructive surgery but hadnt had them yet. I was so weak there that if ANYONE so much as hit them a tiny bit hard they would have went out of place again. My sidekick was not even that powerful, she basically just walked into it. Since it was a thrusting type kick it didnt bend my knees the wrong way.

She came at my wildly and started throwing pretty hard kicks at my knees over and over because someone rolled a ball across the gym and she thought I threw it at her. I just happened to me standing there at the wrong time. Anyway after I kicked her she walked away.

After school she saw me again and was super angery and attacked me again the same way and I was freaked out about my knees getting hurt again and I was telling her to stop over and over and eventually I just hit her on the head with some heavy books. It got her away and thats all I cared about at the time.

Anyone in my shoes would have done the same thing. I had a good reason.
Its just kind of funny when you think about it, because its so brutal to do to a 8th grade girl when your in 11th grade. But I had a good reason. Not like im proud haha. I was just relating to lizard.

At least I didnt throw a powerful thai kick at a 11th year old!!! This girl was probably 13 or 14.

So in order to prevent your legs from getting hit you kick the person with your legs...... Doesn't that kinda contradict your idea of not pushing/moving/etc them?

First off I find it hard to beleive that you could kick at all after having a reconstructive surgery. I have had some myself and I could not kick or do martial arts for several months after.

If she was throwing all these kicks at you so wildly how come she could not hit you? Surely you were not mobile enough on just one knee to move out of the way of this onslaught or block it all.

And if this happened at school then why did she not get in trouble the first time and why are there not teachers around to stop all this?

In conclusion I would have to say when you have a messed up knee don't be walking around on the kickball court on your crutches because to those big bad 8th grade bully girls you look like a wounded deer. Secondly I would have to say next time look both ways before crossing the street.
