Females are (generally) physically inferior to men. I'm not a sexist or anything, but it's plain science.
But that ain't no reason to why girls can't fight back. If they properly train, they can become some ass kicking machines. It's just that they don't have the potential that men have, and that trained men fighters will always outdo trained women fighters (of equal attributes of course).

"that aint" is not proper english but you are right that they can fight back. my wife is 5'3" tall (even though she says she's 5'4" tall) and has beaten up a guy that got too fresh at a night out with the girls. potential is something that a teacher developes. in men versus women many men have the upper hand because more men train then women which is most unfortunate. i say this because most rape and violent crimes are perpertrated by men against women. women fear men because of this and other reason and should train if for no other reason than to overcome this fear. i do not say this as an unsubstantiated remark but because of women that i have taught that have told me in one fashion or another this fact. not all women but most. happppy new year to all of those not drunk at the moment ( and those that are, like me)huey

Hah. First of all childbirth can be considered more of a burden than a special gift or advantage. It's a burden that I do not wish to have.
Secondly, from a fighting point of view, the fact that women can create a child and give birth to it makes her a physically inferior fighter.

Plain science has no awareness of words and there meanings, I think you were referring to "plain english"?. And for it to be a sexist remark it needs to be used in a sexist context, I however was just speaking the fact. Oh, and it is valid.

Do you even understand proper english? Potential is the limit of something, what you are capable of becoming. All a teacher/trainer does is help you reach your potential or limit. The potential is always there. It was there before the teacher came, and it will still be there after the teacher leaves.

I don't see why you are so angry, all I am doing is pointing out the facts. You have to be ignorant to just dismiss these statements. Sure it would be great if women were equal fighters to men, but the matter of the fact is, they are not. I have seen many women fight in the ring, and altohugh they are well trained kickboxers, they would not stand a chance against their male competitors, you just need to watch the fight as well, they don't fight at the intensity men do.

Erm, just like to mention that women have better control over pain and can cope with it due to the fact they give birth - in my book that gives women an advantage in durability and stamina. However similar can be said for the 'hunter gatherer' male.

my point being that while men evolved as the hunter with a set of attributes, and women as the gatherer with a different set of attributes does not negate the fact that both sexes can fight. Neither sex is superior in my opinion, just requires different tactics. Of note the majority of women I have encountered go the 'body mechanics' route (deflection, key points of control and timed blows) while most of the men I meet would go for brawn (impact and ferocity).

Yea, thats a good point. But I still don't think that makes a womens thershold of pain greater than a mans.
And you just need to look at all the sports, track events, etc. Men dominate throughly, in all kinds of physical events. Endurance, speed, strength, etc, men are just phsyically superior.

"admin" means administration. The ones with the power to control what goes on here. The majority of posts and posters here on this particular board have gotten so low that it is insulting to Defend.net in my opinion.

I haven't seen barely anyone on this board who has any real knowledge of rape issues, women and self-defense, the psychology of rape and the culture that surrounds it, etc.

A "women's self-protection" board should be discussions by people who have experience as rape counselors, advocates, domestic abuse shelter affiliates, rape prevention instructors, activists, members of MAV, etc.

I have almost never seen these people on this board, and the few times that I do they are driven off by the teeny boppers that continually post.

It's like going to a "Police and Law Enforcement Officer" forum and seeing posts by juveniles who have no experience whatsoever in Law Enforcement, have never worked in the security industry, and know what they "know" about "police work" by the movies they watch.

That's really what it's come down to.

Fortunately, no one really pays attention to this forum anymore.
The good women's self-defense forums are out there on other sites. Senshido, etc.
