Sambo has sick leglocks. Like bjjexpertise said. Sambo schools are rare. Awesome if you find one. Another option is Catch Wrestling.

Sambo's great if you have a dojo/gym in your area, they're just really hard to find these days.

Many of my ranked judo friends also train/teach Sambo... and BJJ.

started a topic Sambo or not to Sambo?

    Sambo or not to Sambo?

I'm looking at moving to a more grappling/wrestling/throwing type style than what I've been currently doing (hapkido and MT/boxing).

Hapkido has a few throws, takedowns and grappling, but not to the same level of detail and extent as a style that is primarily focussed on those things.

One style that has caught my eye is Sambo. What are peoples opinions on it, how does it compare to Judo, and other wrestling/grappling styles and is it recommended?

    Thanks.
