That's cool mate, except you are missing something right; if Satan has no independant power, God can be omnipotent BUT therefore is in league with Satan innit.

      define in league?

According to the bible, God created Satan if that is what you are referring to.

They also have conversations. i.e. book of job, Jesus being tempted, ect.

Satan was punished for not obeying God, and he lost his place as the highest angel. He was cast down and imprisoned.

So I do not believe that the term in league would fit the situation described.

Alright, God vs. Satan in a MMA(Pride FC rules), who would win? What about the dirtiest street fight where anything goes?

Not quite, but you aren't necessarily wrong either. We find in Job that Satan has to present himself before God, as will we all until Judgement (many people mistakingly believe Hell has already been opened), and God must allow anything he wants to do.

God allows us to do evil. If I wanted to go out and shoot someone, God could stop me, but seeing how he has previously chosen to act he won't. More than likely, he will choose to allow me to commit my evil. Romans tells us that God is holding back the hand of his wrath until the time of judgement. Satan is subject to this same patience.

So yes, Satan does get his power from God. We also get our power from God, however little we have. Like us, Satan can do nothing without God's approval. This is a hard concept for people to understand. It seems like a point won for the atheists. But remember, without God's patience, we all would be destroyed.

PS> Usually I load bible.com to quote referrences to back up my points, but I had problems geting it opened. If you are dying to see them, I can post them.

You dont even need proof to back up what you just said, its completely ridiculous and has more make belief concepts than a fairy tale for kindergardners!

                  Proof:

Bible. The fact that we have it.

In order to refute this, you need to rate the authenticity of it with the measures used to measure the authenticity of any other historical work. Good luck, let me know how that goes.

PS> I suggest reading The Case for Christ/ by Lee Stroebel. It is simple, well written, and incorporates many of today's best minds, both for and against.

NO shit dumbass, still the Bible's ideas and stories are theoryetical and more like mythology than good for literal interpretation

PS> Whatever happened to the other thread we were recently using on a similar topic? I was supposed to respond to a question, but have been away for a few days and forgot the specifics of it. Started something like man killing a goat for being raped.

So youre saying that there is proof that God really exists and so does Satan, and that there's heaven ad hell? Believe what you want to believe you sheep.

Face it, Creationism is poppycock(good word)!

Getting all huffy isn't going to disuade me... proove to me the Bible is wrong and not reliable. Now do you mind not flicking me off and get down to business.

No need for this kind of DISRESPECT! In fact I find it reflects more about you than the person it's directed at.

I dont want to persuade you or disuade you because i could care less about what you think or believe...I give up trying pump reality back into people that have been taught to believe in something from the moment they were born.
