I'ts kinda like pro-kung-fu, anti-aikido propaganda. You ever notice aikidokas seem to attack in mobs but they take turns when actually attacking? Kinda like that infamous Steven Segal aikido demo clip where he signals each opponent to attack.

This is the video diary for "300" which goes over the physical training to get the actors into the right "shape".Some of the guys will probably recognise it as a "Crossfit"type program.

Thanks alot, HERQ454. I'm glad you enjoyed them. Tomorrow "The Protector" is being released. I have been waiting for that for a while. I've seen Tony Jaa in Ong Bak, but from what I hear he gives 20 times the performance in The Protector. He's quickly becoming today's Jackie Chan and them some.Originally posted by HERQ454 View PostYeah, hope they do it well, something to look forward to.
But Uke,mate I've got to tip my hat to you.Fist of Legend,Bourne Identity and Undisputed 2 clips are great.

Sin City
This next clip is sort of a collage of scenes about one of my favorite characters in any movie, "Marv". He has got to be one of the most bad ass scrappers I've ever seen. The kind of guy you'd want on your side in a fight. He's the kind of character who who deserves his own separate movie just about himself and the shit he goes through.
Try to really enjoy this one!

Well Mike, I've finally seen "The Protector". Tony Jaa has IMO raised the bar for action/martial art movies. He's surpassed both Jackie Chan and Jet Li. He's completely amazing ... in his stunts, his acrobatics, his fighting sequences and his intensity. Unbelievable.Originally posted by Mike BrewerUke,
Hopefully you've had a chance to see the movie (Protector) since my review. I still won't spoil it, but I'd love to get your feedback on the link and the scenes it provided.
I don't know which scene to highlight, Mike Brewer. I honestly don't. They were all so damn great. My favorite scene(and you called it) was the capoeira/wushu/big brawler scene. That had to be one of the best choreographed, most graceful and intense scenes from any movie. And do you know what makes Tony Jaa's style of movie fighting so great? It doesn't require any special effect to make it exciting. The man is so talented that he doesn't need wire work. He doesn't need special effects. He doesn't even need the slow down/double take camera technique that they use, but it only makes it better because you get to see the incredible shit he pulls off a second time and clearly in slow motion.
In-cred-i-ble.
And the feats of flexibility and skill are equally impressive. Tell me you didn't say "Holy shit" when he kicked the light out of the lamp post? And to make matters worse, this is a low budget movie. Could you imagine if they gave him a big budget but made him maintain the same intensity and level of stunts and athleticism? It would be unreal.
Folks, there's a new level of action hero in town. His name is Tony Jaa and he kicks serious ass.
