I like defend.net
Why? Several reasons:
1. This is probably the most family-oriented MA site of all sites and has had some well-noted martial artists, self-protection gurus, military men and some downright interesting people.
2. The site goes above and beyond the topic of martial arts. Variety is the spice of life - add to it, that the non-MA topics are usually researched by various members who have differing backgrounds and can offer different angles on the subjects.
3. Moderators are pretty much laissez-faire.
4. Bring Boar back (ok, I snuck that one in). We could use an expert in internal arts fighting methods, breathing, meditation etc. Its an unexplored area of physical development/health.
5. Even though there are conflicts and differences of opinion, they work themselves out, despite verbal brawling...lol.
6. The few women that are on here tolerate us and don't find their femininity threatened (well, I hope not) - like Cakegirl, Lil'demon, Tree, Stabby etc.
