Bloody Mary, Mexican food, and a nap. Worked like a charm for me last weekend.

Went to Austin last weekend with the missus and hit a couple of friend's Halloween parties. She was dressed like Betty Page, I was one of the Baseball Furies from "The Warriors." Only a few people got it, everybody else asked "are you Babe Ruth's ghost or something?" The last party we ended up at was across the street from our friends house that we were staying at, towards the end everybody got crazy and most of the party got naked and jumped in the hot tub. Not us, though. She's modest and I wasn't in the nude mood.

Nothing quite that exciting for us this weekend. I had a felony jury trial on Monday which meant my whole weekend was going to be trial prep, but we made a last minute deal and he just pled out. So now my weekend is free. I need some gym/mat time to work off last weekend's debauchery.

I'm at a wedding tomorrow, which concerned me cos its about 150 miles away from the seminar I am teaching on Sunday morning I just figured I would take it steady on the night party, retire to my room to watch the Calzaghe fight, then get a good night's sleep. But I've just been told that its a free bar, yes sir, the two greatest words in the English language - free bar.

Wow, sounds like Friday got off to an early start. I'm in the Doghouse with the misses so I don't think I'll be getting any lovin for weeks. LOL This weekend promises to be totally routine and redundant. Maybe I can surf the internet and read up on Garlands psychological masterpieces. LOL

friday: parent conferences and then got invited to a party
saturday: got invited to a short hike/lunch thingy, and my boyfriend got us tickets to go see boxing (!!!!!) and then i have to clean, do laundry and grade
sunday: some lunch event for a group i'm involved with, dia de los muertos parade, all of my classwork due and then i have to do lesson planning for the week.

busy week! i want a day off!
