  • How to remove fat in abs?

    I've been working the heck out of my abs for awhile now, but it seems the layer of fat is covering them, anybody know how to remove it?

    umm... diet... the stomach is a common place for fat to store, so either change your diet and/or do more cardio.... you can work your abs all day but without a diet that reduces your bodyfat its not gonna show for your modeling class

      Lower your carb intake. Carbs are stored mainly in the stomach area. Eat whole weat bread not white, eat brown rice not white. White bread/rice turn into sugar.

        despite what those idiot infomercials claim there is no way to target fat on your body in a workout. If you lost fat your body will do the choosing for you so you will have to diet and exercise. Also I don't know what your exercise routine is but to really make those abs bulge quit with the crunches. get on a board with an incline or hand upside down strap on some weights to your chest and start sitting up. Putting some actual weight will build those muscles right up.

            So do wheat bread and brown rice. There are only 2 energy sources for the human body....glycogen (sugar) and ketone bodies (from converted fat). The idea is to eat your carbs as unprocessed as possible...apples vs applesauce or apple juice, oatmeal vs cold cereal, bread that looks like particle board vs wheat vs white. Foods that cause a low insulin response are good....most processed/packaged foods cause a high insulin response, which causes the body to store more fat.

            Plain and simple, as everyone has said, you can't target body fat. We all have a 6 pack...some of us just have it covered. Change your diet and run some intervals.

              I am working on a new program, 7 minute abs. See its better than 8 minute abs because its a minute shorter!

              Do cardio, watch your calories, excercise. If you want a six pack you gotta work to get it, there is no easy solution.

                  hey if you want a six pack all you need to do is go to the convenience store and buy a six pack of budweiser. Now that could be the end of it but wait there's more. Go home, take off your shirt and press the unopened six pack into your stomach as hard as you can and hold it there. Now release. there you go an instant six pack you can take to the beach for about 5 minutes. Isn't that great. Now for the low price of $999999.99 we will even include a special waste band that will press the six pack into your stomach leaving you hand free for other things like making other parts of your body bigger for short periods of time.

                    try diferent ab workouts too, dont stick to one thing, intervals and variety are always an extra boost...

                      What are some good exercises to burn some fat? And also, what would be an appropriate lunch I could buy at a high school cafeteria?

                        hey a good ab exercise will always be the old fashioned sit up. to make it harder though I encourage doing on a incline with your feet up. Even better is finding a way to do it upside down although you will get a mean head rush sometimes if your not used to it as I am not used to it myself. hold a weight at your chest for more resistance.
                        one good exercise is to lie flat on your back. another person will stand over your head (no peaking) and as you grab his ankles lift your legs upwards towards yourself keeping your knees only slightly bent and when they reach high enough the other person will push them down. Now don't let your feet touch the floor. That exercise is though.
                        another version of that is when you get into regular sit up position have the other person sit cross legged on your feet. as you sit up he will push you back down and you cannot let your shoulders touch the floor.
                        last and most definately not least are V ups. lie flat on the ground with your arms stretched out over your head. don't claps your other hand rather just cross your hands over the other. Now raise both your feet and your upper body at the same time making a V shape and repeat.

                          The best exercise to burn fat I believe is sprinting. sprinting done with intervals of jogging is best as you will get better results. dont' go for susane summers slow go cardio tape. Your better off getting something hard and that requires bursts of power. slow cardio burns a lot of calories but only during the exercise. Fast cardio though has been shown to burn calories body fat and all that well after the exercise and even into the night when you are sleeping. Besides when you sleep is when you burn a lot of fat. A neat trick is to eat your dinner early before you go to sleep. say you eat 5 hours before you go to sleep. Well that means your body has been burning calories without you replenishing them for 13 hours if you get 8 hours of sleep. Also try to eat the same amount during the day as three meals but spread them out instead of 3 large meals for the day try 5 medium sized meals or even 8 small meals as this will spark your metalbolism.
                          aahhh yes the highschool lunch menu. I miss the sausage corn dogs and the little cups of fruit you get oohh oohhh and strawberry milk fridays. Anyways try to go for the salad on the side if you can and always go for the little fruit cups because they rock. If your gonna eat something greasy like pizza (highschool cafeteria pizza is greasier than the hair of the entire cast of "The Outsiders") grab a bunch of napkins and press them intot he pizza to soak up all the grease.

                            How's this for an everyday school lunch(God knows if a colon or a question mark comes here, so i'll stick with the colon):Salad + French Fries+water

                            But this seems too little and I don't even know if the Fries fit in, so help me out.

                              hey nobody knows more about diets than fat women in my opinion. I'm not bagging on fat women either. Big women need loving too and its a whole lot more cushion for the pushin. Anyways salad+french fries+water seems a little short to me. But then again it depends on what you eat for breakfast and dinner and whatever in between.
