    Blitz what are your numbers?

    Push-ups
    Pullups
    Situps
    Jumping Jacks
    3 mile run

You mean from the Cindy workout?
I did 56 pullups, 120 pushups(I added some pushups to the beginning sets because I didn't know it was only 10), 155 squats, I'll be honest I could have done more pushups/squats but pullups are just too much lol =/ I quit at the 18 minute mark out of 20, was just too gased out.
Then I did 100 crunches which aren't supposed to be part of the workout, but I need to do them daily to get rid of that extra fat.

      Sorry.

        Oh ok.

Pushups: 75 If I really push myself.
        Pullups: 7-8 ... =/
Situps: lots and lots lol, I just do them until I'm bored.
Jumping Jacks: hmm don't know how you count these :P I've done 20 minutes straight of jumping jacks at a pretty fast pace.
3 mile: never tried, never will! lol, we don't have a track that shows mileage and I honestly HATE running on a treadmill.

Then again, I've never really ran long distances.

Squats: 150ish, i did that half year ago but i haven't tried since, don't know if i've improved there, I'm only doing sets now. Edit: I'm not sure if I did them as 150 in a row or 75x2. But I know I did many when I first joined the gym.

        Guess thats it?

        • Those are some good numbers.

I hated running too. Think about it from this perspective:

When you started lifting weights (or doing any excercise for that matter) you went through a great deal of soreness and pain. Obviously, you don't anymore. Over coming that pain is just a minor benefit of training.

          • How often should you check those figures to look for progress? I'd assume trying to do a workout like that (as many repitions as possible without stopping or breaking it up into sets) could be a good way to train also...but you only do it...once a month?

I guess you can do it whenever you want, right now I probably won't try again till december, see how much I've improved till then. I have a bjj tournament in dec. so I'm hoping I can increase my numbers by then, maybe even run a little :P

Edit: Did 80 good mornings, 60 pushups, 20 burpees, 150 crunches.

              • Yesterday did a mile and a half run in 12:36 on 2 hours sleep. I really want to do the WOD today but will probably skip it or do it tomorrow instead.

Blitz, be prepaired for discomfort when you run but don't give up. Make sure you stretch and warm up properly.

The benefits far outway the pain at the moment. You will last longer when you grapple as your partners suck air; you will find yourself bursting with energy during the day when most need a nap.

Gah you're taking me the wrong way, I honestly don't give a shit about discomfort. I'm sure it's no different from anything when you start out, I've lifted, started working out after years of not moving my ass, I don't think it gets more uncomfortable than that. It's just that I don't have anywhere to run, all I have is the street, and it's so damn bumpy and has so many ups and downs. + cars don't make it any better since I have to run on the street because of all the trees on the pavement, not to mention the street is better on the knees.

If you decide to run, let us know how it goes.

Its bad for your tendons, joints and bones to be over excersizing and running too much. But 5 hours a week is fine. I recently just got a minor tear in my calf muscle, from over stretching and over using it.

For the past weeks, two to three times a week ive been running two miles, doing various excersizes for upper and lower body in the weight room, 30 minutes of drilling, and 30 minutes of live wrestling.
