Sherwinc you watched the wrong clip. The wrestler never even punched and the wing chun person did use a principle and went in when there was no hand contact. The video I was talking about is at the last page of the style vs style section. Not the cheesy one.

Actually it was hard to tell what he studied. The match started and the wrestler shot and match over. But I have more respect for that WC guy than I do the with the other clip at the botton of page one.
I tried to do a search but the WC is a Sifu in miami. But I have no idean how long he studied and he did give up 33 lbs

THE FAULTS OF WINGCHUN:
1. You see, the Wrestler use his two hands/arms to grab the WingChun practitioner in order to perform a quick Takedown but his disadvantage is that the wrestler exposed his head - while this black WingChun practitioner FAILED to use his rapid ChainPunching to the base of the head of this wrestler.
2. Due to WingChun's failure to apply the KungFu basic rule "The best defense is offense" he failed to apply chain punching to a wrestler's head while the wrestler attempts to execute a Takedown.
While they are already on the ground, the Wrestler find a way to sit on top of the WingChun's chest and he plans to execute plenty of punches if he successfully sit on top of the Wingchun's chest.
The second failure of this black WingChun practitioner is "he is fighting force by force". He FAILED to stick his left forearm unto the Wrestler's left forearm, he also FAILED to stick his right forearm unto the Wrestler's right forearm (ChiSau)
Note:
If he only stick both of his forearm unto both of the Wrestler's forearm, he can use the principles of a WingChun Maxim:
He who comes - Meet
He who withdraws - Follow
Loosing of a hand contact - Rush-in
Another Note:
You can apply this WingChun Maxim even when you and your opponent sitting, or both laying on the ground, or he is on top of you while you are laying on the ground or whatever situation you can apply it to your advantage...
3. Another failure of that Black Stupid WingChun is he doesn't have a background of the Southern Eagle Claw KungFu, a blood will flow if the three hand fingers connect to the Adam's Apple, Floating Ribs, Armpit of this Wrestler who sits on top of his chest while he is laying on ground.
4. Another Failure of that Black Super Stupid WingChun is he doesn't know that he has the advantage cause his moves is a non-telegraphic while his opponent is a telegraphic to the naked eye. Why dont he apply the 3rd WingChun Maxim "Loosing of a hand contact - Rush-in" after performing ChiSau while he is laying on the ground still the wrestler sitting on top of his chest.
Note:
You know, if you want to push me, i will help you push myself. Why? Cause i will not use force against force.
Note:
You know, a single failure to do execute a WingChun's IRON BRIDGE FOREARM to the GLASS HEAD of these Wrestler as he perform a Leg Takedown will bring you in a great danger.
Note:
Or you have an option to do IRON PALM strike to the head base of this Wrestler as he perform a Leg Takedown.
The Most Important Note:
All 18 hands of WingChun, Chain Kicking, Chain Punching, Switch Drills, Iron Forearm Kung, Iron Palm, Cotton Body, Glass Head, Chi Sau, 1&a3inch Punch, 108 Siu Leem Tau, 108 Chum Kiu, 108 Biu Jee, 108 Mook Yan Joang, Centerline Theory, Scientific Moves and Techniques, and many many more..... they are all CENTURY PROVEN as a very effective SELF-OFFENCE type of Martial Arts. They are all Non-Telegraphic Category.
The most saddest part of all is.... even my own standard Chi Dian Bun KungFu will not beat WingChun KungFu.... and that is the main reason why i am so very interested to learn this WingChun of yours even thou i learn that wingchun thru Books, Internet, more file information, but it actually help me a lot to defeat my remaining 14 Chi Dian Bun KungFu classmates.
To all WingChun guys there, dont be offended but if these WingChun versus ChiDianBun KungFu:
The ChiDianBun KungFu will defeat this WingChun
but in the Re-Match, WingChun will defeat ChiDianBun.
WingChun will naturally defeat ChiDianBun because of its Iron-Bridge Forearm.
Shaolin KungFu will defeat Taoist in FIST
Taoist KungFu will defeat Shaolin in SWORD FIGHTS (Weaponry)
I did combine this 3 Short-ranged KungFu (ChiDianBun, WingChun, NgoChoKun) to other soft all weather ranged KungFu (TaiChiChuan in Five Family Styles) and also i learn this Hard and Long Distance KungFu (AngKa KungFu and some 7 Star Praying Mantis KungFu)
I did combine it all, like what Bruce Lee did in his Jeet Kune Do, a combination of all important working techniques of all Martial Arts categories.
The Result is, i have learned the Soft, Hard, External, Internal, Long, Short, Ultra-short, all distance, Taoist and Buddhist.
For that i may know their hidden individual weakness and advantages in all SOLID KUNGFU.
My KungFu Style/System that I learned when i fight my Non-KungFu opponent - i use the KungFu art depends upon the distance of my opponent.
Example:
I will use my Angka KungFu if we fight in a long distance, but if the opponent is trying to fight me in a short distance then i will use my ChiDianBun or NgoCho or WingChun. If he attacks me using his powerful Leg blows then i will use my TaiChiChuan to dissolve a thousands of tons by using an ounches of power. Maybe i will use my follow-up 7 Star Praying Mantis KungFu.
That is the reason why Bruce Lee is still a model of a true KungFu as of now, that is Jeet Kune Do according to him.

The WC fighter tried to elbow the back of the head when he was taken down. He looked like he was trying to get his forearm under his and he did attempt a few palm strikes but they missed. I figured about your chi dian bun. I did friendly sparring with a practitioner of it on my trips to China under Monk Wong( Monk Wong would take the class to China + other places in Asia frequently, we learned quite a lot about other kung fu styles.) He was good. He was very skilled at short distance and at long distance he could block the kicks to get to short distance. We did this thing that was a comb of chi sau and push hands which he did well in.

Please, DO NOT bring up kicking in MMA events, I have NEVER seen good kickers in MMA. Good boxers ya but very few can kick worth a damn let alone do ...

You also made another very good point with the "requires a decade of training just to perfect and make realisticly usable".
Speaking of unrealistically usable, I just had my first ever "point-sparring" situation and wanted to freaking puke!!! It was disgusting. I was being penalized -- by not aqcuiring "POINTS"-- for knowing how to JAB! JAB's do not rack up points, even if they are powerful punches from the front arm, they were not counted just because they came from the front arm That's irritating cuz I could hit harder with my body sideways only with my frot arm than these guys could with a running start. If someone would punch at my head and I would avoid it, they would still get a point if it came close and I did not "touch" it during any part of their strike. After that experience I am starting to understand exacty where Thai Bri comes from when he rants on about little things like sparring and Katas-- I mean, I always knew where he came from, but now I know why he is so passionate about it.
It was freaking unbelievable. I had these dorks, who didnt' know how to fight, scoring more points than me because they didn't know how to fight in a real life situation. I HATED IT! Oh well, it's just a game, right?

I've been studying Wing Chun under Sam Kwok for nearly 3 years now, and he has beaten Thai boxers. Lots of them.
They generally come straight at him, he moves to the side and just knocks them out. Or If they manage to clinch, or elbows them and, guess what, knocks them out.
Don't get me wrong, Thai Boxing is a lethal martial art, but so is any if its practiced with realistic combat in mind.
It always come down to the person, NOT the style.....

Natural Art Fist or simple called Literature Fist KungFu
It is the KungFu martial art of Ang Li Sing, a kungfu instructor there in Philippine E-NEE in Manila.
Chi Dian Bun looks like WingChun
and...
Chi Dian Bun looks like NgoChoKun too....
Chi Dian Bun KokSut KungFu has more than 200 Hand Attacks. A Taoist Form of KungFu. Short/Ultra-Short Distance, a kungfu popular in WalkingHands, Seven Elements, Phoenix Eye Fist, merged with Hik Style Tai Chi Chuan.
Its weaponry are Twin Hooked Swords, Twin Short Knife, Hik Style Tai Chi Sword, Tri-sectional Staff, etc....
My instructor teach me ChiDianBun only 54 hand attacks.
I learn WingChun's 18(108) hand attacks only in Internet webpages, Books of Randy Williams and WingChun Magazines.
I learn NgoChoKun's 25 hand attacks only in Books of Beng Kiam (Alex Co.)
I also learn NgoChoKun's Training and Theory in my Chi Dian Bun's instructor. My instructor learn some NgoChoKun in his instructor Chua Yi Sin (KongHan)
Note:
The reason why i study WingChun and NgoChoKun to combined with my Chi Dian Bun for me, combining these 3 Short Distance KungFu Arts is an awesome art if fighting in a short distance.
