That's not the meaning behind his name. TigerClown claims to have studied CLF, Hung Gar, Wing Chun, and has claimed to have learned praying mantis from watching the insect itself.

Please tell me you are joking???

I read one of his post that said something about learning from books and video. If you're of a very high level of experience then video learning can be done, I don't see how book learning is possible, but that's just me.

Ben, wrong. I have had four masters teach me in my life and many instructors. One master for Shoalin, one for Hung Gar (he also taught white Crane and Northern Shaolin), one for Choy Li Fut, and one for Seven star Praying Mantis.

And yes I really did poke a stick at the Praying Mantis as I held it in my hand and I watched the way it caught the stick. I used my mantis techniques in one club to overcome others in combat. They worked fantastic.

I have not had a Wing Chun Master teach me. But I have learned some Wing Chun from a person who was not a master, and I have studied it myself for a long time, from my own personal studies and from watching others etc.

I won't ask who your "masters" were since I won't reveal many of my old sifu. I'll just ask what city do you live in or where did you live when you studied these styles?

I really don't throw the word master around a lot...Just because someone is a sifu, doesn't mean they are a master or deserve the title. My sifu is considered the Grandmaster of our style by many, but he refuses the title. He still refers to our sigung as his master and the Grandmaster of our style, and sigung has been dead for decades now.

I wouldn't admit poking a praying mantis. TigerClown should get of the LSD and Shaw Brothers films.

I'm a Kung Fu guy and I just joint in this forum today. Hope this forum won't be like the BullShitDo forum that people just like to argue instead of to discuss. I'll try to defend CMA as much as I can but sometime I just realize that most people doesn't understand what CMA truly is. For example, people think that Kelly Bell (KB) is a modern idea. What people doesn't know is it was ancient Chinese stone lock and exist in CMA training thousands year ago. Some Judo guys also think that rubber band training is a modern idea. What they don't realize is it was no more than the ancient Chinese weight pulley training.

Hey, I really did this for a while and learned some things from it. They even worked in the studio.

You seem to have trouble with such things. But that doesn't matter really.

By the way I still have to see if I can get pics of the arm bar escapes. Truthfully I am not that motivated. I have a few escapes that work. But I am loosing interest in discussing with you. I may do it for the others in the technique forum, depending on how I feel about this. It is not that I can not do it. That is not the reason.

                      But I might still.

Lies, I know traditional praying mantis Kung Fu. And I did not claim to study wing chun in a club. I had a friend who learned it and he taught me some things. I have also studied it myself by my own research. I don't claim to know that much Wing Chun.

What. I learned at many different Kung Fu clubs and from four main sifus. As well as other instructors who were at master levels.

i also have read many books, as i am sure most Kung Fu practitioners and other martial artist have. I have watched videos and learned from friends etc etc etc. Every possible way of learning Kung Fu I think I have done. But the core foundation is from my four sifus. And the many different styles i have practiced.

But I am sure that I can teach others how to LARP just as well as I can. I may even teach others in the technique forum how to LARP, depending on how I feel about this.
Sorry, nobody's interested. Maybe you should get some psychiatric help.
