Chien forms are the most versatile for warm up, for qi gong, for energy control development and focusing. Chien forms like sam chien, tien te lin chien & sam chien sip di.
kung fu, wu zu quan, ngo cho kun, five ancestors fist, traditional Chinese martial arts, Philippine martial arts, kuntao, Daniel Kun, lei tai, kong han, goh cho kun,
The first-Ditang Quan, was taught to him by his mother.
Ditang Quan if it is what I think it is, I read it only in kung fu reference materials but have never actually see, meet an actual Ditang Quan athlete. But according to its discription it has a lot of tumbing alost like drunken fist.

Tang lang which is mantis, yes I have heard about this.
Lun Shin Quan, this one I never heard, can you give a short discription of it.
Ditang (Ground Lying/Falling/Tumbling-from Di-ground, die/diao/die dao-to fall,tumble)
According to my Shimu (Si Mouh), this was a formidable "woman's style". There were many exercises to have one purposely "throw/fall" to the ground.
The biggest thing with this style is to overcome the "fear" of hitting the ground, which the force is hard. There were 3 sets that incorporated with such hand and foot movements. In the first set, it appears that the practitioner is loosing balance in the performance of stances, kicks, and footing re-positioning. I had performed the first set in a tourney long ago and I didn't even place a award because the judges had thought I was loosing balance by accident. Even though before my performance, competitors (I so detailed) explain via a introduction, what will be done.
Lun Shin quan is also known as Luhng Yihng Kyuhn
Anyway, my current instructor is 71. He was born in February, in 1934. Not so strange back then, the actual day was not of concern. So he, himself could only speculate the actual "day". So we celebrate his "birthday" on Feb-1st.
He had studied Di Tang Quan-from his mother.
His age was 6-14
(Training was secretly because boys at that time did not practice female styles)
Simulataneously between the ages of 10-19 he trained in Luhng Yihng Kyuhn
Between the ages of 20-40, Tang Lang.
He had two direct pupils.
One I train with, he is 49, the other is deceased.
I started with them in 1977.
I am 48-though upon registering here I was 47-hence 47MartialMan.
Just I and another under me, are the only non-Chinese.

It does not really matter if you are Chinese or not, the important thing is to have the passion, interest and dedication of wanting to learn, be part and acquire the ancient art and preserve it as much as possible from getting corrupted.

Yes, precisely what I am saying.
We are two that are non-Chinese.
It isnt a racial issue. I think because of language and the age/year we had started, that time wasnt allowed to teach other non-Chinese.
My instructor didnt open a school publically. You became a student by referral.

Traditionaly martial arts schools are always by referral. It is not to be misunderstood as being for Chinese only, but it is more for people with good moral character. usually publicly would mean commercial schools with all kinds of fees.
Martial arts are now being open for public becuase of good financial and economic potential, attitudes have change the sacredness and purity of martial arts is slowly fading.

I was insulted by someone whom was a lineage freak.
Because my instructor was a unknown, this person whom was on a "crusade", actually stated that he (my instructor) did not exist.
I had sent many photos to this "non-believer" or " Holier Than Thou Crusader"
Because someone whom wont show-up by "Googling", or on the "Almighty Interent", was the crusader's basis of non-existence.
How do I know that my instructor isnt a fraud?
Because he had not advertised his presence or skill.
Because, he receives no monetary compensation for lessons.
(He had almost did not accept me due to his schedule. Money was not his option, his time was restricted.)
Because I met his family and had been introduced to his culture.
Thus, the people within his culture know, respect, and adore him.
Because he doesnt lay claim to any superhuman feats and he can fully perform anything that he has a practitioner practice.
I was taken in my two Charletains before. And I did learn some things from these two in particular. I had learned basic stances, blocks, strikes, and defenses. I had learned that they needed a side-show with exagerrations to "recruit" more students.
My current instructor isnt after "recruiting new students". His current schedule is full as he really doesnt want any more students. I think this is so because "Father Time" is catching up to him.
