Shakyness, losing sensation in your hands, pulsating st-36...lay off the caffiene and wierdo herbs...that aint Taiji....soaking your hands and feet in warm water? Where the hell do these people come from??? If its causing all that its obviously incorrectly taught or practiced...Taiji improves your health, it doesnt destroy it.

But I thought it was started after this monk saw a snake and a crane fighting, and was supposed to illustrate the principles of yin and yang...Originally posted by BoarSpearno war just fact, Tai chi chuan wasnt intended to be a health art, that was the side effect of the training.
But I thought that was because I didn't have the discipline and respect to do the actual WORK involved in learning a MARTIAL art.Originally posted by BoarSpearWhen It was decided to remove the fighting application and emphasis in order to teach it to the old and weak the art was effectively ruined. If you practice Taiji without the fighting applications and forms then you arent really doing tai chi chuan...in this country it was further killed by treehugging hippies into new age energy nonsense...its a fighting style first all the other benifits resulted as by products not the initial goal...without the dynamic movements and energy transfer its just a dance and its boring to watch and do, real taiji isnt boring to do or watch
I forgot the other reason that I stopped, and that's because I got really sick of the pulsating ST36 point, and losing sensation in my hands, and getting all shaky, and all. Instructors telling me to put my hands and feet in warm water didn't cut it for me as an explanation. I still do it though.

At the risk of starting a war, since when did an art not seeming martial make it not really taiji? Aren't all styles derived from one original style?Originally posted by BoarSpearAh, then it wasnt Taiji
My understanding is that different styles have different emphases--whether on health or on martial application.
There's an interesting article here; http://www.taichiproductions.com/art...p?articleid=37
Sounds a bit aikido-esque...

Huh i'm simply amazed you didnt seek out jubaji instead...

The only thing that needs protection here is forum goers who have to deal with your constant assjockey antics!!!
Nobody cares if someone doesn't capitalize an i. Or if you think that they sound retarded. you still haven't answered my question.
What expierence do you have practicing Tai Chi that makes you an expert. I am one of Boars student so yes asshat we do sound the same. It goes with the territory!!!
So you gonna answer my question or just mouth off some more?
