Who said taijiquan needed "protecting"? What you quoted might make folks annoyed with me, but what you have written is certain to make quite a lot of folks consider TJ a joke. I don't want you to protect it (even if you had the reasoning ability to do so), but won't you stop making a joke out of it at least?

Agreed. In fact I've even sent people to the taiji classes that bored me because they said they were looking for something slow paced.

    Different strokes for different folks.

And I'm still friends with one of my former instructors; we had tea the other day.

    You've confirmed the answer already.

See you'd think so, but rather that is my battle plans....

If the person doesnt throw marbles at me... I chomp the air until they run away!

There is also the stealth and attack portions of Hip Hun Po Gar, stemming from the hippo's renowned stealth attacks, making it the most dangerous (to humans) animal in africa.

I harness that immense hippo power, my marble gulping skills are unequaled.

(Last bit leaves me open to SOoooooooooooooooooooo many jokes.. oh well)

I don't do qi gong just warmups to get it flowing. I don't want to cultivate more qi anyway, because in my experience what it does is just make my imbalances more exaggerated. Great...
