The law of tyranny:
1. Any power that can be abused will be abused
2. Abuse always expands to fill the limits of resistance to it.
3. If people don't resist the abuses of others, they will have no one to resist the abuses of themselves, and tyranny will prevail.
Welcome to the Socialist States of Amerika . Coming soon Jan 20th 2009!
Yes this is true. In Shito kata (which is what my kata look like "shit'o"), (they should be called oh shit kata) they do have stop and start, but the combinations are fluid. Also Shito have officially 49 kata, but some of the Okanawan guys say their are 69 kata in the system. Anyway however you put iy their are way to damn many katas.

All Karate Kata's are a waste of time........
i teach my 2nd student about the KungFu Alphabets that i learned, but i did not teach him KungFu Set Patterns (Kata in Karate term)
cause i prefer KungFu alphabets rather than KungFu SetPatterns even thou i believe that kungfu setpatterns are usefull.......
the reason why in just 1 month, a tremendous result change his fighting tactics.......
Note:
i have plenty of KungFu Setpatterns learned but i have no plan to teach kungfu setpatterns on my future 3rd student.......... kungfu alphabets is enough........
a student accepting/teaching also a student, haw haw haw

kungfu forms are usefull, but to tell you frankly, it is easy to learn and very effective to teach kungfu alphabets rather than forms.......Originally posted by Toudiyama[NL]So not only karate forms are a waste of time, you now admid that the KF forms are too
that is what i did when i teach my 2nd student..... i teach him solid kungfu alphabets just for 1 month..... and our ratio of hits is something 15:15 when we spar
Note:
before, he is a Tang Soo Do Expert, he could not even hit me even thou how fast his kicks.

The only useful kungfu forms are those that teach one how to breath properly. Otherwise, unless you want performing arts to be part of your fitness regimen (don't get me wrong, performing arts such as ballet, b-boying, etc...are very good for fitness cross-training), all forms are useless pretty much. Sometimes you can find useful stuff, but even then, you don't need the forms to practice the stuff.

it is still a broken rhythm type of karate kata........Originally posted by Toudiyama[NL]Watched some Okinawa Goju Karate ( on TV:10 Ultimate MA)
The forms there were flowing motions only stops were between 2 elaborate combinations
SO no real broken rhytm ( seeing that where they stop is where one application stops and another starts)
it should be done fast and continuous from the start of their kata up to the finish....... there should be no broken rhythm......

No it is not, no it should not
A form is a collection af seperate applications, joining them togeteher without stop makes the form even more useless than it already is
You do not know where one stops and the other one starts
Appart from that I see the same happening in a video of Sam chien by a couple of NCK people a bit like a wals 123, 123, 123, which makes sense becaus every combination has a final finishing move
If they would do 123456789 even though they are the same combination 3x then there is no finishing move
In the Goju, I saw, the stops aren't stops but turns
BTW when did you ever have a real fight that happend in one flowing motion, I haven't ever
HAve you ever seen Okinawa Goju on Okinawa probably not so how can you say anything about it?
I've seen it and it in no way what you discribe
Goju Karate is the closest to 5 ancestor or White crane KF shorin isn't

True, karate and taekwondo is the best example......Originally posted by Toudiyama[NL]A form is a collection af seperate applications, joining them togeteher
if the form has stops (broken rhythm) then that form is a very useless like those of karate forms and taekwondo forms cause the kungfu fighter will only know your seperate applications intention...... the applications of every applications found in the form is revealed and the kungfu fighter will know what combinations might best beat for that type of broken rhythm movement.....Originally posted by Toudiyama[NL]without stop makes the form even more useless than it already is

i have no experience a real fight...... but in my sparring with a non-kungfu opponent...... once my hand combinations begins to attack my opponent, my hands never stops even though i hit my sparring partner i still immediately do a follow-up rapid combinations and even he falls to the ground still, my feet attacking combinations are independent movement between hands and feet.......Originally posted by Toudiyama[NL]BTW when did you ever have a real fight that happend in one flowing motion, I haven't ever
the kungfu attacking combinations will only stop if the opponent shout surrender or if the opponent is badly beaten.....
take a look at Boxing, MuayThai, Karate, TaeKwonDo, etc..... when they hit their opponent, the referree shout BREAK!!!!! then there are no follow-up attacks.......

Yo Bri whuddup? Nice slam on that Paul character at Ebudo. Damn Systema Vasilievites are worse than crotch rot. We should go over to Sonnon's forum and just go right for that dude's juggular. People are always saying he's a world sombo champion and has a few UFC champs in his stable so he knows how to teach reality based self defense.
What a bunch of bullshit. I dont even give a damn he was training our special ops guys.
Hell up until a couple years ago they were being taught TKD stuff, and NOW it's BJJ! LMFAO.
He's one of these psychic energy freaks just like Rabko and Vasiline. His forums over at http://www.circularstrengthmag.com/forum you gotta read his new post on what it means to be a master, and how he's "beyond" Rich Dmitris work.

Whats with you and your hate against Russian Ma? You have been to every forum on the net trashing something YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT. You have not bought a video or actually trained in any rma. How about instead of battling Sonnon on his forum, how about you go up to him and challenge him? You have been recomended this on every site but then you stop posting and look on another forum. There is a difference between the Russian military and the U.S. Nowadays the U.S. teaches anything they can get there hands on. The Soviets did there homework and researched everything. Vasilev has been in the Soviet military and has seen more violence and has gone through worse experiences than most of us can imagine. Many things the Soviets were involved in had lots of close quarters action. You trash softwork after admitting not knowing what it is and Sonnon does not do any no-touch knockouts. The thing Vladimir does is something that simply teaches you how to use phsycology against a person there is not tricks involved. What do you mean Bri trashed Paul? Bri simply asked a question about the video clips and how some look slow. The reason is probaly because they are doing it slow for demonstration or other reasons. I have a nice article on why they use the slow sparring thing. I didn't see Thai Bri once saying Systema sucks. He simply asked a question and it must be rather annoying to him having a troll pretending to be on his side and saying that Thai Bri hates Sonnon and other arts over the net. He never even mentioned Sonnon in any of his posts.Originally posted by shinobi22Yo Bri whuddup? Nice slam on that Paul character at Ebudo. Damn Systema Vasilievites are worse than crotch rot. Your mom. Now how about answering the little questions I wrote or are you going to just do stupid things like that. Come on tell us what softwork is. Why is it ineffective. You couldn't tell us anything about these arts. How about coming up with an response to my last post instead of trolling. Come on I am waiting.Originally posted by shinobi22LMFAO. Whos "Shonnon"? Talk about not knowing what your talking bout.!
