Are you implying that the one incident you know about is the only time in his life that that gentleman had ever been in a street fight? How have you come across that info?

Well, that might well be a good option depending on where he's starting his shot from, how he has set it up, and most of all who he is (how fast, how big, how strong, how good, etc)

A lot of folks (who apparently are not very fond of themselves) shoot from waaaaaaaaaaay too far away. In that case, you can see it coming a mile away and have time to position yourself for this that or the other thing. A good shot should start from within a comfortable arm's reach, and shouldn't begin unless properly set up (to move the other fella into a position that makes completing the shot as likely as possible and defending it as unlikely as possible).

A lot of folks seem to assume that what is likely to have a good chance of success against a lousy shot from a lousy shooter is the "answer" to all leg shots.

The difference is that you really did practice shots full out when you were wrestling and you have never practiced the eye gouge full out. That has to be a significant consideration at the very least.

I honestly find it hard to believe that you could possibly be as stupid as you seem determined to present yourself.

"the art" didn't lose "the fight", shitforbrains, "a person" lost "a fight".

If I told you that I personally saw a CMA teacher get beat up by a small, skinny woman in the street, would that completely discredit CMA in your book?

According to your (il)logic, every form of fighting or self defense is illegitimate.

We are also tought how to countel alot of the other shoots. Im not saying our way will allways work. Your right though alot comes down to the persons in the fight, and thats why in the Army you have to be fit. Think though for us its less than a sec to bring a knee up about 2 inches with a ton of force
