We got one sorry-ass ego maniac who thinks

              he was a Taekwondo genius.

How come I've never heard of you?

Would you like to prove it to me?

See, we agree. Forms don't teach you how to fight, but they build attributes which can then be used in fighting. Problem is, somewhere along the way training got confused with real fighting.

Well attributes such as stamina and that is about it.....its a pretty good way to get some stamina no doubt but def not the most effective way.If you want fighting attributes you must spar and hit the pads and bags.Road work is also a great idea but can be substitued by a treadmill....so yea i guess i kinda agreed with you a bit if you wanna look at it that way..

what if you don't have pads and bags? And what about shadow boxing? You know you have to train your nervous system as well as your muscles

I used to be where you were at in my 20's. I thought forms were stupid and a waste of time, until I had to teach 30 or so completely green students with no martial arts or fight experience whatsoever. Ever see 2 people with no martial skill whatsoever spar or try to hit the heavy bag? Or even target mitts?

I give private lessons all the time out of my friends basement....trust me i know what you mean. The best is sparring....i just use my footwork and defense and watch them flail around and fall down as a result of their own punches...its so funny.Pads crack me up....i say keep your hands up at least 20 times a minute and there hands still somehow wind up by their waist

                            Are you joking, PStevens?

I think we've already established that you have no respect for TKD and are another one of those TKD bashers who have absolutely no idea what he is talking about.

You claimed to be a TKD prodigy??? My response: "Yeah right?"

Isn't this where you usually throw in a racial comment?

*sigh* Kid, you need to drink your milk, finish Jr High, and get a clue before throwing the challenges around.

But don't take my word for it....
