TKD Master who found that tkd does not teach fighting
Kito you cant tell me you think all grading systems are a waste of time, in some instances i agree with you the belts dont mean that much but obviously adults who have black belts or higher are going to be able to take down a white belt of the same disipline.
That's experience, not a belt. If you get Kurt Angle in a BJJ class and he's wearing a white belt, he's still going to be able to tap out most of the senior black belts because he's a damn good wrestler and knows submissions already. Belts are just a commercialized thing, something to make you feel good, in all honesty it's just an artificial system designed to stoke your ego, nothing more.
Im not sure if kurt angle was a good example i think someone forgot to tell you the WWE is fake, but if you read my quote you would see i sed of the same dicipline. Not to burst any of your other bubbles but the tooth fairy is really just your mum.

Kurt Angle got a gold medal in the Olympics for freestyle wrestling before he joined WWE, just to let you know And all those guys have to do is apply a little pressure as most of them are valid holds. I learned that first mistake sparring with my indy wrestler friend and finding out how much the camel clutch really hurts
Studio wrestlers can fight tough if they have to, trust me. Imagine them performing one of their moves on you, and you can see how effective it would be. I've seen him in a few bar fights and it's not a pretty sight. He's a big guy to be sure (6'4, 275) but once you see him pick up and slam a 300+ pound bouncer, you can respect the kind of strength these guys possess as well as how effective some moves can be when adapted for the street.
Angle won that gold before he was a roid monkey and if your having trouble escaping from a camel clutch you must lack any form of basic training. However i will try to remember your advice next time a guy trys 2 hit me up with a 5 star stinger splash. Of course any chump over 100 kgs can pick a guy up and slam him, it comes down 2 what the other guy is going to do 2 counter that.

I just wish I could be there when you actually get in a real fight and see all that cockiness vanish
Do you even know what a camel clutch is? The street version is very different from the studio version. Here's exactly what he did to me: he had me in a standing scissors lock, standing on one of my hands with the other arm locked under his knee, and his hands are in a wrist grip below your chin. All he has to do is arch his back and you can feel your vertebrae grinding against each other in your neck, not to mention the scissors lock as he's crushing your sides in feels positively wonderful. So enlighten us: what do you think the best possible counter for that would be?
And guess what? Angle still is a good wrestler, and there are roid heads who are going to mess with you on the street. You'll be all right though as long as you don't leave the suburbs and go to your McDojo though
The move you have described doesn’t even make sense, how does your opponent manage to have enough weight on your hand to keep it pinned whilst maintaining enough balance to lock up your other arm with his knee?????? Besides that fact it sounds like you were giving out horsy rides before he made u. If you could enlighten me as to exactly what move you were trying to accomplish to allow yourself to end up on all 4s with a guy straddling you I may be able to offer some advice on how to avoid this predicament in future. Im not cocky im just self assured.

You should check out some of 'Judo Gene LeBell's books, especially PRO-WRESTLING Finishing Holds. Pro wrestling comes from a very ligitamite backround and unfortunately has been comercialized on t.v. But the smaller, independant touring groups that are in Pennsylvania and Ohio are really hardcore. Check it out for yourself before making statements that sound like a beginner spouting off.

hey koto, how bout not letting him get u in that position in the first place??? i dont know but its up to u. you know the reason why u got put in that position, coz u probably try cross training with 10 different styles. and they probably all contradict each other. how bout first becoming proficent in 1 style. instead of studing heaps and being so so at many. why do u think pure breads are so exp. and mongrels so cheap?
Jeremy. Im not questioning the legit wrestlers man no doubt they are skilled but what Koto is talking about is rubbish, and perhaps the sprouting that needs to happen here is your pubes, come back when your balls have dropped.
You ain't ready for me yet. I train in a REAL SCHOOL. Come on down when you think you're ready. As for the move itself, it sounds like a body grapevine with the ankles crossed, just like in greco-roman wrestling. Very painful and obviously, don't let someone put it on you, but once it's locked in, there's not a lot you can do but tap, then see a chiropractor.

I got to laff at the fact you critisie my skool without even knowing where i train, perhaps if you care to tell me what your REAL SCHOOL is i can come visit
