These are from boxing. Not as extensive as everybody else's but still injuries.

Nose: Broken so many times I cant count. I have a hard time breathing out of my nose. It sounds like I have a stuffed up nose when I talk.

Hands: Broken left hand one day, then went back and fought with it the next. Everyday I wake up my hands are tight. I get real sore in the cold weather.

Broken orbital bone. Had it broke in a boxing match. Also in that same fight I had 2 ribs cracked and my nose broken.

            Almost all body parts ache....

I boxed for years, had my nose broken as well, but that's it
from boxing. Never had trouble with my hands until I got
into BJJ. I have had sore hands from the very beginning,
which is about seven months. I think it's from gripping
my opponents gi so strong, and so often. It must be,
because 90% of the time the gi is being gripped. I've hit
the heavy bag since I was a young teenager (and I'm 39 now),
and although I've hurt my thumbs from time to time by not "turning over" my punch completely (instead, I would
make contact with my thumbs), I've never experienced a
constant pain in my hands as I do now. I've tried massage
and all sorts of creams, but nothing takes the pain away
completely. Some days are better than others though - the
worst being a couple hours after grappling.

I can't seem to get the "kinks" out of my neck either.
Initially, I hurt it by being neck-cranked a few times, and
have been to physio, have had acupuncture and shiatsu done,
but always have a nagging pain. It's not extreme, but I
know it's there, especially at warm-up when I do head rolls,
shrugs, bridging etc. I've been told to go and see a
ciroprator (sp?), so that's my next step.

My elbows are a little sore when I straighten both my arms,
but nothing to cry about (yet). Some of my friends have
very bad elbows from rolling, so I've seen worse.

Left knee is good, right knee I think I have a pinched nerve
            from a hyper-extention. Other than that....hey, I'm fine!
I've learned to live with the aches and pains......they go
with the territory. When the day comes that I have to be put
in arm casts, and walk around with a neck brace - then I'll
know it's time to "pack it in". Until then (hopefully that
day never comes), I'm just having fun.

            Ronnie.
(Oh, did I mention that I have a sore toe on my left foot,
next to the big toe - due to constantly "stubbing" that toe
on the mat? Now you tell me - how in the heck does someone
stub their toe on the mat? Anyway, I tape them up now to
            avoid this from happening).

I figured I'd wait a while to list my maladies.

Right now, I have a few sprained toes, both of my big toes usually get jammed up and i have to tape them.
But the really pain is my right wrist, I keep respraining it each time I train and play basketball. My right shoulder is in constant pain lately, my left shoulder got messed up years ago at a GJJ tournament, arm lock. I have two right finger sprains.
I think I've torn my ACL on my right knee a few times. I was sparring with a Sambo guy and he was twisting my knee all over the place and it sure felt like someone poked me with a red hot ice pick in my knee.

              KeithWuSs:
Yes, I do have a signifigent amount of hearing loss, but not due to age, instead, it was from playing with explosives. Now, I am very lucky to have my eyes and fingers intact.
Be careful next time you open up an unfamiliar letter. Heh heh.

But overall, I am lucky not to have any signifigent injuries so far and haven't had any major surgery.

My friend is a physical therapist and I went to see him in his office and he had the funniest list up on the wall.
              CRYBABY OF THE WEEK
              CRYBABY OF THE MONTH

pain is the enemy of the unfortunates.

I've had my fair share of injuries, but have never had anything beyond minor from training. From fights, just have had 1 broken bone (hand), a bloody nose, and cut lips..thats it. My worst injuries stem from things like car accidents (I was the pedestrian..earned me 2 weeks in the hostpital, and 6 months out of school), sports (had my nose broken by a softball), torn ear cartilage playing football and other misc. crap like that.

Jeeze, I thought we were talking about current injuries. I refuse to do a comprehensive list for two reasons. 1, it’s fairly depressing, 2, what with the Alzheimer’s kicking in I can’t remember a lot of them. A few of the “highlights” working from the head down:

Fractured skull. A very angry man broke the temporal bone (right behind the ear) with an inanimate object in a fine drinking establishment. I had spinal fluid leaking through the skull into the inner ear, which finally blew the eardrum out from the pressure. I walked into the hospital with spinal fluid running out of my ear. Bought myself some time in the ICU. (I’m sure you are all shocked to hear I have had major head injuries) Picked up a broken arm at the same time.

Neck injury. Fairly hideous, but amazingly, against all medical predictions, I made a full recovery.

Broke the nose a number of times, splattered the lips and facial cuts, blah, blah blah. Superficial damage for the most part. (Till the breathing is jacked up anyway)

Ribs. Numerous times. Twice fairly serious. Sucks when it hurts to breath. Really sucks when I can’t lie on a board and paddle. I have one rib that, for whatever reason, occasionally turns.

Fingers. NUMEROUS. For the most part, buddy tape them and keep training. One notable exception. Won a street fight, walked away thinking I’m bad (hey, it was a long time ago) went to pickup a beer and noticed my thumb was on top of my hand pointing back at my elbow. Never even felt it, till I looked at it. Thumb is almost an inch shorter than it was because I insisted they set it instead of operating on it.

At the juncture of L-5, S-1. You know how one vertebra meshes with the next one up? I sheared the top off one so it floats free. Used to occasionally hurt, but as long as I keep everything strong and don’t gain weight, I have no problem with it. In that respect the injury has been an enforced fitness incentive.

Two knee surgeries. Torn meniscus once and bone chips in the knee joint jamming the joint up another.

Got into a stupid macho thing with a Thai boxer. I was calling him a pussy for wearing shin pads. We traded leg kicks for long time. The next day I couldn’t walk. The short version is I had my shins whacked so hard that a blood clot formed on the leg. I kept training and sucked pieces of the clot into my lung. Pulmonary Embolism. Almost died.

Broken toes. Too many to count. Once again, buddy tape them, move on. The big toe sucks. Takes forever to heal, and hurts every time you drive forward on your feet.

Lots of stitches. I would make most quilts look under sewn.

                          WHO SHOT DAN?????

Perhaps his exploits as Oregon’s main back door man caught up with him?

Maybe he ran into a deer with an opposing thumb, a shotgun and attitude?

Maybe Dan is a Columbian drug lord hiding out in the great North West?

His name is Downard, Dan Downard. Shaken, not stirred, license to kill and all that.

                          The mind boggles
