man.. dont listen to those talkin down on the system.. if you know then you know, if you dont then you are missing out on good info. like i said before, its not the best around to know, but it surely has attributes that could make you an even greater fighter. i.e trinity shot, shoulder block, body stance and movement. the more you know the more you grow. it cant hurt to know this shit.
now i wouldnt go as far as saying its the next ninjitsu or anything, but i think that its very interesting and great to know. and used in conjunction with something else like . JKD / PFS .. muay thai .. bjj, you would be a hellava better fighter.
it may be difficult to learn, but thats not on accident. you are right in that very few train in it , its because the training and conditioning is very difficult..now the military and civilian aspects are probably gonna be alot different. spetnaz are russian spec ops and they have what it takes to learn it and use it and they are among the worlds elite combat fighters no doubt . but i dont think that they are the best. everyone has their achilles heel tho. no one can stop a bullet i dont care what art you know or how much chi you may have hehe.
haha.. thai bri.. you're such a smartass... always got something smart to say hehe j/k .. why the hell would anybody be throwing bullets ? make some sense dude, or maybe you aint from here.. i dont think we do that shit here in the states lol ..
=)
yo niko, i hear ya man.. one day i wanna learn more about systema.. ive only seen videos of it and i want to one day train a little in it.. where is it taught and who is the teacher ? anyone who got something smart to add in, kiss my ass. i wanna learn this shit, you dont have to.
Whoever said that the military unarmed combat course is shitty.... Well I must say, that may be so, BUT....
The Marine Corps martial arts program is NOT shitty. Its excellent.
Rhy...I got to agree with you! MCMAP is definately far from shitty. Any doubters need to check out the July issue of Black Belt Magazine! I've been waiting to hear about the Marine Corps Martial Art Program in their Magazine. IT'S ABOUT TIME!!!
