I trained in aikido for a long time and I think he is a bad example of it if you ask me.......he is just not a good person overall.

well, I seen video footage of seagal in his early days in japan and I was very impressed that he was manhandling his students without problem...ive seen aikido masters demonstrate on their students and I know they are only demonstrating, but what they were doing looked good...I think aikido can be effective depending on the person who is using it...I believe he is a good person, but you shouldnt judge him falcon because the press seems to go after him like they do every other successful actor in hollywood...Originally posted by falcon3624

OK...while you guys were chatting about Seagal's wife-beating habits, I organized the Seagal-Panda fight.
Its gonna be at the Hilton Hotel in Northern Alaska in the room next to the I. Hate. Gays convention. Come naked.Comment

It looks good on footage because he says......"hey come here and grab me this way, or do this to me". The problem with all this is that on the street you don't have the cushion of being able to make your opponent grab you right where you want them too. seagal is familiar with others styles as well... his main thing is aikido, but he has studied with other martial arts as well big boy...
