I must have passed out. Yeah, that must be it. After reading BoarSpear's message defending US politician's and their faith in the citizens of this country, I fainted. Has to be. It's the only reasonable explanation...

...I can't use my Kukri in the streets...Not allowed by the ABA {American Bando Association} one more wrong use at it becomes an illegal weapon...and no one wants all those guys comming after ya because you chose the kukri...But in Nepal and Burma almost every one uses them as tools...But I just like use the ground... and what ever is around...I always have elbows and knees...But to tell the truth since I have been practicing over 20 years...I have no need to street fight...It seems to leave you alone...And I don't drink and go to bars iether...may be that has something to do with it.. usually i find liquer a vaiable in street fights...that and stupidity...and by the way I think civilization is most uncivilized in any country...boy I sound hoky

A good sharp knife. From Spyderco or Cold Steel. The new ATR(at the ready) Spyderco combat folder with the Spyder edge is SWEET.

                            not a knife

Cold steel is good but a Kukri Is a short sword my friend...made to cut off the head of your enemy...and boy you can feel that energy through her...

Every major war in the 19th and 20th century is Asia, Europe and the Middle East, the name Gurkha was always associated with their famous curved sword, which is generally known as the KUKRI.

The origin of the Kukri is shrouded in mystry. Sir Richard f. Burton 19th century English scholar and explorer..in his 'Book of the sword" theorized that the kukri derived from kopis, a forward curving medium sword of the armies of Alexander the great.. Other historians argue that it evolved from the sickle like blade, Khopesh, of ancient Egypt which influenced the development of Greek kopis. Later the romans adopted the greek design of the sword for ther calary and infantry.
The true origin of the kukri may be lost in ancient history and legends, myths and mysteries. One such legend : in the town of Bhojpur in eastern Nepal a famous sword maker saw in his dreams the majestic flight of the himalayan eagle. Its wings transformed into two flying curved swords, soaring over the mountain terrain. He then quickly designed this unique sword in the shape of an eagle's wing. thus giving birth to the first kukri.....
The kukri has three functions...working tool..used for digging and chopping..Warring tool used to decapatate heads from there bodies...and a worship tool used by elders in ceremonies.

Bando practioners generaly think of this sword as a decapataional tool...when one holds this sword in there hands this is generaly what you feel...Be carefull if you ever run across a spirit sword...for the energies in the sword from previouse owners can still run deep.
                              Spirit swords are another topic.
