Definitely! what you're saying is correct. Chi is EVERYWHERE within you. and most definitely within your blood stream. How can you know this? Firstly by the feeling you explained. No matter what others say with regards to chi or whatever you want to call it, only YOU feel what it is. Chi is almost imppossible to explain because it's nameless and undefinable in context. When i say this i mean no matter how complex your definition becomes the farther you come from what is real. This is why so many schools deviate from the true tai chi. Secondly, we as tai chi practitioners can soon discover that our blood is a source of - or directly related - to chi as a result of analyzing our body's changes.

Generally, it is said that through tai chi our bodies will first experience change through the soft bits such as our tendons, ligaments, internal organs and most definitely our muscles. Secondly, our bones and internal structure develop and lastly our spirit/style. is distinguished thus naturally eminates from our being.

Clearly, our blood is cleaned and made to be most benneficial through tai chi than any excercise out there could ever do. Our blood is what heals and strengthens and ultimately makes our muscles function. Next, our blood is our energy and through tai chi we are spending less of our energy on our muscles and leaving it to heal, repair and innovate our internal organs into the strongest super body we can create. If we are conserving our energy instead of spending 150% of it on our muscles our bodies more important and more isolated parts will be supplied a prime environment to flourish. Our internal organs are viewed as one of our main responsibilities/priorties in tai chi. Hence, why it is called an internal martial art.

Proof that our blood is with direct relation to chi can also be revealed when we look to our bones (another prime candidate to the internal martial artist's system). Studies have been performed and delivered nothing but positive results that lead to the conclusion that the relationship of tai chi and one's internal structure (bones) are evidently A-alike. What strengthens our bones? Bone maril. Which IS a respondent to our body's circulatory system.

P.S. the mass you feel in your hands is a result of letting go of (relaxing) your muscles, so you can feel the true mass of your arm. Sounds like youre on the right path. Do you happen to feel fingers tingling as well? do they generate heat as well?

I reccomend you force yourself to practice a bit more. I know force isnt something you want to do in tai chi but getting started you have to feel stiff and unbearable this is how you know youre doing the right thing. After you begin to get a taste for this art it will be IMPOSSIBLE to stop. trust me

hey, first time poster here. I've been doing the Tai Chi forms for about 2 years, and I've noticed that my palms tend to feel heavier at the end of my practice. I'm pretty lazy so I just do it once or twice. This has led me to believe that the long-mystified "Chi" might just be the blood in your body. The ancient Chinese probably didn't have the advanced medical technology to produce an accurate visualization of the blood vessels in the human body. I dunno. Do you guys think it might be plausible? Just some food for thought...
