You should take a cue from your hero and remember that when you write little nice and neat stories filled with details of things that weren't even important its clear that you're full of crap. Your little rendition of how you got slapped is the only thing you've ever written outside of one liners, and therefore it's what you're measured by.

But there are people out there who don't buy into that bullshit and have better standards than taking advice from people who come to their conclusions based on what they've read and watched on youtube.

There is a entire community of self defense out there, and you three have gone out of your way to avoid it. Otherwise you three wouldn't bee so uninformed and in the dark about simple subjects like disarms and the element of surprise. You three wouldn't still think that competitive boxing and wrasslin' were self defense. You wouldn't be so lost about every single aspect of self defense from not sparring to not dueling.

Jubaji won't ever comment on what's being used, practiced or taught because he has no idea unless he's reading what someone else has written. He piggybacks off every poster who opposes certain people's view like some sort of attention starved parasite.

Sag Lu says that fighting back isn't worth risking your life, despite the fact that your life is on the line if someone is mugging or raping you. Advice like that reflects the complete absence of common sense and the fact that he has no heart. You can learn how to fight all you want in the ring, but if you have no heart once the rules are gone so is your willingness to fight for your life. That's what we call a punk.

And treelizard has been begging Boar to help her find a school that she will fit into because everything she tries doesn't work for her. No matter where she goes, nothing works and she can't fit in? No matter what anyone teaches her, it won't work if she uses it in a stupid way. How well is a judo throw going to work if you announce the throw you're about to attempt? How often is a jab going to land if you announce when you're going to throw it? How well is a joint lock going to work if you tell the person you wish to restrain that you are going to use it?

Treelizard doesn't understand this point at all, and her test of efficacy with any technique is if she can execute against a man that already knows its coming. I've got to say that's pretty stupid. What treelizard is testing out is her attributes of speed and strength, not any particular method because her method is to just do it against a man that's she's already warned. In order to do that, you've either got to so fast that he can't stop you from landing like Mayweather's jab, or so strong and powerful that you can muscle through a strength based technique and your opponent can't stop you, which is what most of the men who attack women do.

Treelizard can't fathom that in order to beat a stronger or faster opponent, you've got to catch them off guard, which is the entry. Without an entry, your left muscling a stronger guy or throwing strikes HOPING to land something. There is no method doing that. Just hope and luck.

Any women reading who might be reading this should understand that women's self defense and self defense in general isn't done that way. Anyone with a normal level of comprehension and common sense would learn on DAY ONE that you don't attack strength, you attack weakness. By trying to use a technique against a stronger person and additionally warning them ahead of time you are attacking strength because now the person is anticipating your attack. Weakness would be letting the person first get a false sense of security that you will be compliant and an easy target. Once they move in you attack that security and you don't stop until they are on the floor and you have a chance to run and get help.

The only real difference between WSD and self defense is that women are usually smaller and less strong than men, so the tools that they use have to tailored to meet their needs. That's it. The ideas and concepts are the same.

You can give some people a map but they will still get trapped. So don't let one person's failures influence you. You don't have to take MMA or go to any one specific person or organization to get solid WSD(women's self defense) training. Most people go to WSD classes to learn and not to fit in anyway.

So if any women wishes to learn self defense call around, do some research, check out what you find and then go in with the intentions of learning how to defend yourself and escape and not how to box and wrassle with men.

I taught my wife some WC combined with some CQC, and that includes some stick and knife that was taught in the curriculum. I know she can take care of herself, but I'd love to give her more of an edge.

For the women that I love, I'd want to see them Pistol trained. That would make me more comfortable than anything else. That includes my wife, mother, sisters and friends. Unfortunately most of them hate guns. Go figure.

I'll admit some TCMA styles are effective. WC for example was meant to be learned in a short time. But not all women want to learn a martial art, some of them want a WSD course. Many techniques in TCMA can also be found in other forms of TMA if you look hard enough, but I doubt the average person, let alone a woman who wants to learn self defense wants to spend several years conditioning their hands before they can damage an opponent.

My original intention for this thread was,

'I want you to consider a smaller woman comes into your club, how would you teach her quickly to survive a assault or rape situation?"

And I spoke of Kung Fu and real life combat self defense, and the techniques that women use like clawing groin attacks etc etc etc. And i compared rolling on the ground in a grappling situation. I think the videos at the beginning make the point clearly.

I would suggest that any woman who is interested in learning self defense learn techniques that are quick and that do not depend on complex grappling on the ground, and that are found all over the place in Kung Fu. But many of the techniques taught by the women in the videos I showed are good as well, especially if they attack the vital areas in combat..

As far as I am aware I didn't know Uke taught or was paid for WSD classes? If you're selling it bro' you gotta advertise.

Some points.

1) People were accused of being full of Sheet because they didn't post their curriculum for WSD.

2) Once it was posted they were then selling it? Kinda a bunch of crap huh?

3) I'm not naming names but quite a few people in this thread acted very childish, and 2 wrongs don't make a right.

4)The Ignore button people. There are whole threads now where I click in and see nothing but a bunch of ignores. It's made me a happier person.

5) For Christ sake stop quoting Brewer weather you liked him or not, that bad taste is out of all our mouths, let it be gone.

6) Just because somebody doesn't agree with you or what you do, their not necessarily stupid, given time most people will prove it some other way. if they do they don't need help.

Tree said a lot about MMA and how it helped here, she gave some pro's and con's of WSD over MMA, her experience and opinion, and an article to another WSD school to compare, so that side is their and it gives people a start.

Uke posted the MM vids and TTE posted info on classes and locations. So you have that side to compare.

So for the 1's of women on defend.net they should be able to make the begging of an informed decision.

From there on out what more can you do for people?

Uke unfortunately the proof is no longer on this forum...however there were numerous posts and threads by He Who Must Not Be Named that gave detailed accounts of his exploits.

Up to and including and 100 person riot in a bar where he was picking people up in choke holds and escorting them out one by one.

So i think we'll have to omit your source as being, unreliable and having a lack of continuity in his posts.

Hey guys, give Tree a break. She posted this link on womans self defense. If you take the time to read it you will see that she is very knowlegable. It's a long thread but a good read. Her user name is the same; Treelizard.

Its ashamed because as much as you say that TTE and I act discourteous and rude we have actually given more to this topic than any one else. We talked about top WSD practitioners and teachers and how their systems are set up. We talked about the element of surprise and how a woman works off of that to get the upper hand. I've even talked about a woman that NONE of you have ever met or probably even heard of but is excellent at teaching and demonstrating that her WSD works. No one even touched on that because like always you all are too caught up in your own bullshit.

Apparently you don't even know how their systems are set up... or how the classes are set up...or what they actually teach...and can't answer even the most basic of questions...such as, how would training in a class in which "muggers" are TRAINED to respond certain ways going to help anybody learn the element of surprise? What if their techniques don't "get them the upper hand" because they don't work? Like, what if the guy doesn't jump back all scared because someone screams "no!" and throws out a move that wouldn't work on anybody with even the most basic of knowledge? If you really care about WSD you may want to re-evaluate everything you think you know.
