I cheated and used the machine for pullups where you put your knees on the pads and it helps you up a bit... Still working on that upper body strength a bit.
I kept making eye-contact with this really, really hot gal who was wearing an olive green IDF shirt at the gym the other day....

    I guess that wasn't you...

Did you get her number yet?

Hint: On your first date, don't ask her which side she would pick if the US and Israel go to war.

Nope, but I see her frequently. She's a good looking gal. We'll see.

Wasn't the plan. If interested, I'd take her to see Ice Age 2 and then we'd probably shoot the breeze at a bar overlooking the ocean.

              Man, you two are animals!!!

Today is my rest day. Just some slow cycling. Still recovering from Sunday and from yesterday's lite workout. Thank god for the Gravitron.

              • I'm gonna try GQ Chris's 4-mile brisk run and hill side sprints.

                I like that.

                  • Today I just did some light upper body weights b/c my legs are SO SORE from yesterday and I'm supposed to hike tomorrow. 15 each pullups and dips (with support), back extension, abs, pulldowns. And some dojo window shopping. Vicarious excercise.

                          Nice!!!

My goal for today is three rounds of 400 meter run, 21 swings (probably start with 25 lbs), 12 pullups. For time.

I will still have to use the Gravitron for the pullups of course as I build up those arm muscles.

                          400 meters ~ 1/4 mile, right?

I will have to do this after 11 hours at work, so will be challenging but still do-able.

                          • 3 rounds, 14 minutes.

15 lb dumbbell for swings, and a lot of assistance on the pull-ups (I think I was only pulling 30% of my body weight, maybe less). Running was challenging. Could have done 20 or 25 lbs and less assistance, will try that next time.

                            • Plateau

Have been busy with other things the past few weeks.

I can't seem to get my mile time below ~ 6:15 so I'm going to change things up a little then hit it again a few weeks later.

I'm going to go for 5+ mile brisk runs atleast 4 x per week.

Fartlek or hillside sprints 2 x per week.

Calisthenics + plyometrics 3 x per week. I'll hit the weight pile again in a few weeks.

                              • Just did three rounds of cleans (20 reps), 100 ft walking lunge and dumbbell snatches (10 reps per arm). It took forever, my legs are killing me and I am a shaking mess, but I promised myself I would do three rounds no matter what it took. Started with 20 lbs on the dumbbell and was pulling 5 lbs by the end. Took some water breaks, too. I'm sure my legs will feel this even more tomorrow, good thing I have upper body excercises then. 10 rounds of 10 pull-ups and 30 dips. Thank God for the Gravitron. Damn. I'm beat!
