August 9
Seven 30# assist pullups (instead of my usual 40-50#) with 1-3 minutes rest in between, failed on 8+9 so followed up with three jumping pullups.
August 10
3 rounds 500m row and 15 thrusters, 35#, in 15:05
August 11 rounds of cleans and dips
21-15-9 squat cleans, 35#, butt to ankles (didn't clean all on the first round)
Dips, 21 improvised on L-sit machine for round 1 (Grav was taken), 30 and 18 assisted dips (50#) for rounds 2 and 3.
Aug 12--MMA, punching work.
Aug 13--overhead squats
3X 35-40-40-50-50-60(f)-50
Didn't finish that 6th set. I should've known better than to try 60 since my max squat weight according to the performance standards posted on the crossfit site on the 8th is 62. However, I managed to dump the bar quite nicely.

Tree, what else are you doing besides Crossfit? Any regular excersize such as martial arts, sports etc? How many hours/week or whatever do you sweat besides Crossfit? In other words, is it most of your excerize or would a person have to lighten the WOD's quite a lot in order to maintain other stuff?
I'm teaching Muay Thai and BJJ three times a week (moderate workout) and starting to train for a 10k in the fall (three-four days a week running) plus other stuff here and there. The Crossfit stuff looks like a cool base regime, but I also tend to get in over my head and crash myself. Any thoughts?
Besides, I want to try and join the cheer-club you guys have going here.

I do MMA once a week for about an hour and a half, and I also do some cycling (moderate) maybe a couple miles a day and some yoga and some cardio kickboxing (couple times a month) and will be starting FMA again soon (non-strenuous). I throw in extra rest days or lighten the load. You kind of have to modify it if you do a lot of other work.
You could ask on their message boards though, everyone there is much much MUCH more knowledgeable and experienced in crosstraining, etc. than I am.
