"Strict form, rules and patterns have inherent weaknesses"
"Fluidity was the ideal--to keep moving.Water, lee would always say, is the toughest thing on earth. It is virutually indestructable; it is soft, yet it can tear rocks apart. Move like water."
"Acept what is useful. Reject what is useless"
"Remember, too, that Jeet Kune Do is merely a term, a label to be used as a boat to get one across; once across, it is to be discarded and not carried on one's back."
"Please do not take the finger to be the moon or fix your gaze so intently on the finger as to miss all the beautiful sights of heaven. After all, the usefulness of the finger is in pointing away from itself to the light which illumines finger and all. ---"
Bruce lee's size is still the topic but i think we've talked about everything there is too talk about...so i sorry but im gonna have to move on.

Hello
Newbie here. I've got a small challenge for all of the folks out there. I've noticed that, in my days as a gym rat, that guys made weightlifting straps a staple in many of their workouts. I am one of the few that HATES straps, for they take so much away from your grip strength. I can shrug 315 for 6 reps, no straps...I am 5'11" and weigh only 156 lbs. Anyway, the next time you go to the gym, try this:
Take a 10lb or 25lb plate. Set it down on the floor edgewise, and try to pick it up by pinch gripping it with the thumb and forefinger. If you can pick it up from the floor to eye level with the thumb and forefinger, excellent!!! Now use the thumb and middle finger, thumb and ring finger, and finally, thumb and pinky (or start with the thumb with the forefinger and middle finger.) Remember to PINCH GRIP...do not let the weight rest in your palm. I can barely get the 25lb. with my thumb and forefinger or thumb and middle finger. I won't even TRY the other two yet. Let me know how it goes!!!

Ive been sitting here reading the posts on this topic thinking of something constructive to say, but damn its hard with the amount of bullshit here.
Bruce is a classic ectomomorph, the body types are meant to describe ones born type, not the body they have attained after years of training and manipulation.
